Did You Know...

... that Arizona Airspeed's 29.3 is a new historic world record average?

New world record average: Arizona Airspeed
posted Nov 22nd, 2020 - The second day of the 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships at Skydive Arizona was not completely over after the big-way of AAA Class 4-way and competitors from the DC3 and the Twin Beech. This was only the end of the skydiving activities on Saturday.

There was still an award ceremony later, where Larry Hill expressed appreciation for the efforts that the 12 teams made to visit Skydive Arizona in the middle of the corona virus pandemic.

In the meantime, Chief Judge Jim Rees and OmniSkore!HD creators and operators Tim and Ted Wagner had finished up their part of the competition and provided copies of the competition jumps for the NSL News. The first two sets of ten new rounds by Arizona Airsped and SDC Rhythm XP have been processed and uploaded and are now available on NSL-TV.

The meet videos provide a review of one of the fastest 4-way competitions in the history of the sport. In fact, Airspeed's 29.3 average after the ten rounds this weekend is the highest result in 4-way Formation Skydiving competition ever. Of course, it was heavily supported by the two Super Sequences in Round 1 and Round 5. However, it is a new historic world record by the pure numbers, and it is the first 29+ meet average in history.

New team record average: SDC Rhythm XP
NMP PCH HayaBusa owned the highest meet average after the 28.9 at the USPA Nationals 2019. The draw had a few faster sequences, as well, while there was no Super Sequence in the ten rounds at Skydive Paraclete XP.

The HayaBusa statement was made at the same event where SDC Rhythm XP defeated Arizona Airspeed in a jump-off extra round. Rhythm have been preparing themselves for their first FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving ever since where they will meet the Belgian 4-way world champions at an outdoor competition.

SDC Rhythm XP used the same competition draw for their own new record average. The 27.6 beats the 26.2 that the lineup with JaNette Lefkowitz posted at the same event where NMP PCH HayaBusa finished with the previous world record average, the USPA Nationals 2019.

SDC Rhythm XP took the time for a new NSL Live Talk after the conclusion of the ten rounds in Eloy and before the big-way celebration and the award ceremony.
