Did You Know...

... that the 2020 leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League is changing?

Last full participation in February: iFLY Tampa team
posted Dec 4th, 2020 - Kyle Hermberg's Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas was back with a new and complete set of six scores and videos in November, as well. iFLY Dallas had a 6-month break after the first three months of the year and restarted in October.

The total of 92 points for the month of November actually moved the iFLY Dallas team up and ahead of iFLY Tampa in the skewed 2020 rankings. Most of the participants of the October event were back in the iFLY Dallas lineups, and Kyle Hermberg also welcomed a few new 4-way fans.

Four different lineups produced the total of 92 points in the six categories. Kyle Hermberg was assisted by Michael Erickson, Caden Maydew and Donaldo Grajeda to guide all participants through the different 4-way sequences that the four lineups performed.

iFLY Dallas had finished in 5th place behind iFLY Tampa every year between 2017 and 2019, which will change at the end of the 2020 season. The iFLY Tampa team has collected ICL points only sporadically after a normal start in January and February.

Reopening in December: Hurricane Factory in Prague
The situation on the annual 14+ leaderboard still reflects only the reality of the corona crisis year, and not the situation as it has been known by the end of the year in the past. Not only iFLY Dallas and iFLY Tampa have been impacted in different ways by the pandemic and its implications.

The top of the ICL leaderboard will most likely show more changes at the end of the year, as well. Paraclete XP need a total of 115 points in December to finish ahead of the Hurricane Factory for the first time in the history of the Indoor Cloud League.

Both ICL teams were separated by only two points (1461 - 1459) at the end of the 2018 season, which had no obstacles. This year, the corona virus could be the decisive factor for the rankings at the end of December. The Czech team will probably lose one more month than Paraclete XP did in 2020, and this could move the U.S. ICL team to the top spot for the first time. However, it seems as if Jan Klapka has a chance to defend the top spot, as the Hurricane Factory has scheduled the reopening for December 3rd.

In fact, the 2020 leaderboard also reflects the many different situations that the single 4-way and 8-way teams have been confronted with all across the planet. The conditions for training and competition have been different everywhere, and it is difficult to compare scores and performance levels.
