Did You Know...

... that Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle were back working together in Eloy?

Eliana Rodriguez with Jerry and the Jets
posted Dec 9th, 2020 - The Arizona Skydiving League League followed up quickly with the next live outdoor competition after the successful completion of the 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships in Eloy. The four teams had not competed two weeks earlier on their home turf and used the new opportunity.

It was the 4th meet of the Arizona Skydiving League this year despite the corona virus difficulties and restrictions. Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle Karamon have been running ASL meets monthly since they brought back the league at the beginning of 2019, and they had to slow down this year.

Skydive Arizona has been setting up strict rules for the small events that the participants were following at both events. The same rules will most likely still apply for the first events next year. However, the 4-way fans in Arizona have at least a few opportunities to continue with more than only training.

Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle Karamon both had competed at the previous event, and there were two other competitors who actually attended both meets.

XPG4 and Jerry and the Jets at the Eloy meet
Michelle Karamon with XPG4
The organizers and coaches of the Arizona Skydiving League, who work together well and closely, had not only competed two weeks earlier at the same place. They were in fact direct opponents and finished only seven points away from each other.

The NSL News had introduced Eliana Rodriguez' team, Jerry and the Jets, briefly on October 28th when they attended the October meet of the Southern California Skydiving League in Perris.

The same lineup, with the three Airspeed legends (Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard, Dan BC) and Jerry Elliott, then traveled to Eliana Rodriguez' and Craig Girard's home turf for the next live competition.

There they met Michelle Karamon's team, Paraclete XPG4, who have their winter home in Arizona, as well.

Jerry and the Jets increased their scoring average, which was still not enough to get really close. However, Eliana Rodriguez and her team won three rounds and tied another XPG4 score.

Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle Karamon with participants of the ASL December meet
Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle Karamon came back to work together again when the four local teams had their turn of 4-way competition and completed six rounds in Eloy.

AZ Defiance were back with their lineup of four original members. They have not missed any of the four ASL meets this year, with the help of Karlee King, who had joined AZ Defiance at the beginning of the 2019 season. The December lineup, with Joe Howard back in the lineup and John Lyman again on camera, finished with the team's second 12+ average since April 2019.

Two competitors of the 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships joined forces to add six rounds to their 2-week meet agenda. Ian Pedowitz had competed with Day 2 two weeks earlier. Tom Stokes has been Eggplant member since the team was formed for the 2019 season. Eggplant attended the 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships but had no plans for the ASL meet.

Ian Pedowitz and Tom Stokes joined forces with Adam Mahan and Rebecca McGirr this time, with Alex Swindle on camera, and Leg Strap Padding competed with Crash Course in the AA Class.
