Did You Know...

... that another new league was in the works in 1998?

Midwest Skydiving League team Mock5 in 1998
posted Jan 12th, 2021 - Illinois shows great interest in starting up as soon as possible. Andre Wiese, operator of Chicagoland Skydiving, has already begun to get things going this year.

His drop zone has a lot of team interest - four teams from Hinckley competed at the USPA Nationals this year.

Now, Andre Wiese is looking for other skydiving centers in the area who would like to be a part of the new NSL 4-way league and share the advantages of more activities and business. As usual, the NSL will help to get the new league started.

The area definition of the new league has not been finalized yet, however, everybody who is interested in the Illinois/Ohio/Wisconsin league can get in touch with the NSL headquarters or with Andre Wiese directly by e-mail at Andre"at"hinckleynet"dot"com.

DID YOU KNOW THAT DeLand Genesis got some very good media coverage

DeLand Genesis were covered well in the Orlando Sentinel before and after the NSL Championship 1998. The regional season meets of the leagues are offering teams and drop zones a great opportunity to promote the skydiving business in the area.

Teams looking for financial support can offer the potential sponsors more exposure through the competition series. Drop zones can use the public attention to draw tandem and student business. The whole skydiving community has the chance to become more recognized.

Local skydiving operators and team administrators can get in touch with sports authorities in the area to get professional help in public relations. In addition to the newspaper coverage, three TV stations (NBC, CBS, FOX) also reported about the NSL Championship 1998.
