There was another event scheduled to take place on the Arabian Peninsula early this year. It was the first skydiving competition that Qatar was hosting, and it included a 4-way event.
Earlier NSL News Talk with the Qatar Tigers and coach Gary Smith explained that Qatar did not have their own skydiving facilities, which forced the Qatar competitors to travel a lot for training and competition.
Finally, the plans for building a skydiving center and a wind-tunnel on home turf materialized, and the host scheduled a CISM competition to collect the first hosting experiences.
The Qatar International Parachuting competition took place a month before the original date of the 6th DIPC, which was rescheduled for December this year. The 4-way teams completed seven rounds, which followed the rules of the military CISM championships.

NMP PCH HayaBusa have won the CISM world championship title for Belgium consecutively since 2007. The 2019 title won the 13th set of CISM gold medals for the Belgians.
The Qatar Tigers have owned the 2nd place behind HayaBusa for several years, even though they have to work for the position and keep the CISM teams from Switzerland (Airheads) and Germany in check.
The Swiss team did not make it to Qatar for the competition that began at the end of January, while Germany's Bundeswehr team left the country under the current military travel conditions.
The NSL News had met members of the German CISM team in March 2019 at the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales, where they conducted a winter training camp.

The military lineup of the German Bundeswehr team has changed now, and Airbus member Thomas Mack has also been training with the Airforce team.
The new German CISM lineup did not have to battle with the Swiss Airheads for the position behind NMP PCH HayaBusa and Qatar Tigers this time. The home team was out of reach, and the Airheads were not present.
Qatar Tigers and the Bundeswehr team both finished below their potential at CISM meets, and the new German lineup even won a round and tied another one with the Tigers. The special CISM draw included Block 17 for a complete slot-switcher and one Cat of Block 15 as a random formation in Round 6.
