Did You Know...

... that XPG4 completed the team's first indoor training session on Friday evening?

posted Feb 27th, 2021 - The 4-way competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021 was in full swing on Saturday morning, and the first three rounds were completed at 10.00 am. The scores on the leaderboards speak for themselves, and the live streaming service allows the online audience to follow the action.

NSL TV focused on the unique Round 1, and the unfiltered footage will be posted later. At this point, there is still a very interesting topic to be covered that took place on Friday evening.

XPG4 had scheduled a training session to warm up for the indoor meet. The new lineup really needed the training. Jeana Billings, Michelle Karamon and Morgan Womble have spent plenty of wind-tunnel time together. However, the only time that they spent a few minutes of indoor time with new member Brenn Richards was during the tryouts for the tail slot.

The 15 minutes that XPG4 had scheduled for Friday evening was the first indoor training for the new lineup. It did not take much for the team to get used to each other in the flying chamber, and Kamuran "Sonic" Bayrasli was all over the live streaming screen, of course.

Tail Brenn Richards and point Morgan Womble preparing for XPG4 training on Friday
XPG4 have trained together after the latest personnel change. In fact, they have completed over 60 jumps with Brenn Richards in the tail slot and Morgan Womble at point. She moved from tail to point for the new lineup and gave Brenn Richards her most familiar position that she had with Ranch 2nd Generation.

However, the video footage features XPG4 with their first 15 minutes of indoor training, and the performance in the first competition rounds on Saturday morning were showing that the team felt very comfortable in the flying chamber.

They are meeting again the U.S. national outdoor team in 4-way Women, Aviatrixx, who will compete for the United States at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 in August this year. XPG4 won this duel by 14 points after ten rounds at last year's event with Tamara Bartlett in the lineup. Now they were 13 points ahead after Round 3 with Brenn Richards and after 15 minutes of indoor training.

Vega XP, who were also training on Friday evening, were in a similar situation. They have spent a lot of indoor time with coach Niklas Hemlin filling open slots. Last weekend they had the complete lineup together for the first time, and they warmed up for the meet with all team members last night, as well.
