Did You Know...

... that female top competitors invest a lot of energy into meet and event organization?

XPG4 at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021
posted Apr 5th, 2021 - The latest NSL News coverage of the most recent 2021 events, Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021, Shamrock Showdown 2021 and Indoor Cloud League, all had several cross-connections in all possible variations.

Most of the overlapping topics between the indoor competition at Paraclete XP and the outdoor competition at Skydive City have been explained and commented. Yesterday's Indoor Cloud League update from ICL Midwest covered how Skydive Midwest NEXT members introduce new participants to 4-way competition and help Midwest teams to advance their skills.

The update on March 24th had mostly presented the competitive side of Skydive Midwest NEXT at the national indoor championships and the Shamrock Showdown outdoor event.

One of the most serious U.S. opponents for NEXT is the U.S. national indoor team in 4-way Women, XPG4. Both teams competed at both events, and the exciting duels were covered in the same update. Both teams also have plans for a longer time period, and the same duel will hopefully take place many times in the coming years.

Skydive Midwest NEXT at the Shamrock Showdown 2021
Both teams are also organizing the Indoor Cloud League events at Paraclete XP and ICL Midwest. XPG4 have performed some of the AAA/AA sequences randomly in the past, while NEXT contribute regularly to the monthly total with their ICL scores.

The ICL Midwest team joined the Indoor Cloud League in August 2020, and the complete NEXT lineup had no scores for the ICL team only once in December.

ICL Midwest missed the ICL leaderboard completely in January, and NEXT were back in February and March.

XPG4 and NEXT were on the same leaderboard at ICL Midwest's first event in August last year. XPG4, still with the previous lineup, won the AAA/AA combination by one point (51 - 50). The difference was bigger to the advantage of XPG4 a month later (53 - 48). NEXT then struck back in October and won for the first time (53 - 49).

XPG4 did not have the complete lineup available in November, Skydive Midwest NEXT in December. Both ICL teams scored in February, while the first competition between both complete lineups was eventually the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship. XPG4 won by seven points, now with Brenn Richards in the tail slot.

XPG4 and AZXP8 at the Shamrock Showdown 2021
Organizing energy: Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle Karamon in Arizona
The next duel took place at Skydive City, where all teams exited from a Twin Otter at the Shamrock Showdown 2021. Skydive Midwest NEXT were up by two points after Round 4. The first Indoor Cloud League scores and videos of the March competition are now posted, and NEXT added 55 points to the total of the ICL Midwest team. The March scores from Paraclete XP will follow soon.

In the meantime, XPG4 member Michelle Karamon has also completed the March outdoor meet of the Arizona Skydiving League that she organizes together with Eliana Rodriguez. Michelle Karamon and her XPG4 team mate Jeana Billings, Morgan Womble's ICL partner at Paraclete XP, train and compete with Airspeed XP8 at the same time. It is obviously more challenging for the complete XPG4 lineup to be at the same place at the same time for one of the monthly ICL events.

The available XPG4 members have been recruiting high-profile team mates for their AAA/AA sequences on the ICL leaderboards in the past when the complete lineup of the U.S. indoor champions in 4-way Women was not available.

There is a lot of organizing power and energy in female hands at NSL and ICL events...
