posted Jun 24th, 2021 - The NSL News has covered the story of Jerry and the Jets briefly in several earlier updates, after the team appeared the first time on the leaderboard of the Southern California Skydiving League's August 2020 meet.

It was an international meet weekend, as well, with teams in Germany and Austria using the same competition draw of the NSL Cloud Mondial 2020 and posting their scores on the leaderboard together with the best teams in the world. Jerry and the Jets finished in the middle of the AAA Class field after the four rounds that were completed in Perris.

The leaderboard was smaller last month when Jerry and the Jets were back in action. However, there was serious competition by the British national 4-way team Chimera at the 4-way comeback meet in the United Kingdom, and a total of eight teams posted scores on the combined AAA Class leaderboard.

The meet videos of Jerry and the Jets are showing the same lineup back in a competition for the first time this year, and it is the next opportunity to follow the three former Airspeed 4-way and 8-way world champions (Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard, Dan BC) in action.

It is the 16th year now that Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard are flying the front piece together in 4-way teams, after joining forces with Andy Delk and Brian Johnson for Airspeed Odyssey in 2005 and winning 4-way gold medals at the FAI World Meet 2008.

They met even three years earlier when Eliana Rodriguez moved from Florida to Arizona and joined Airspeed's 8-way team. They first won the 8-way world championship title together in 2004 before continuing in Airspeed Odyssey's front piece.

They never separated after becoming 4-way and 8-way world champions, and the 4-way front piece eventually became a married couple, as well. Craig Girard and Dan BC met when Craig Girard left the Golden Knights in 1995 and moved to Arizona with the goal to build a world champion 8-way team. The original Airspeed lineup was the foundation for the first 8-way lineup.

Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard are still connected with each other in the front piece of Jerry and the Jets, where original Airspeed 4-way member Dan BC is in the driver's seat as inside center.
