Did You Know...

... that Florida's Indoor Cloud League team posted their highest 2021 total in June?

Florida's Indoor Cloud League team in June
posted Jul 1st, 2021 - Florida's June event of the Indoor Cloud League brought three teams together at iFLY Tampa last week. This month's first ICL scores and videos are posted, and the Florida team finished with its highest total of the year.

Florida's Indoor Cloud League team is still missing enough experienced AAA Class competitors who would be able to perform the most challenging sequence that includes the complete FAI/ISC dive pool. The last time that the Florida team had a AAA Class score on the leaderboard was in February 2020.

Jump Florida Furtherance trains the AA/Intermediate Class dive pool to prepare for the USPA Nationals. This category does not include the six slot-switching blocks (3,5,10,12,16,17) and the sequences are complete after four or five formations.

Furtherance took care of the two sequences that could be drawn for any AA/Intermediate Class event (AA/A), while the other two lineups had their own internal competition with four of the six sequences. Paul Bertorelli, Craig Sagalow, Mike Talerico and Sebastian Jimenez won each of the sequences. However, the same lineup can post scores only for two neighboring categories, and their opponents ended up on the leaderboard for the R Class sequence.

Highscores of Florida's Indoor Cloud League team
Outdoor team: Jump Florida Furtherance
Jump Florida Furtherance started their Indoor Cloud League event at iFLY Tampa with the two June sequences for AA and A Class before taking on the complete June draw of the international NSL Network.

There is not a lot of activity in the World Tunnel League during the summer season when most of the 4-way teams are training and competing outdoors. Only the Brazilian teams had an indoor competition in May with a different draw.

However, there was an outdoor draw for the month of June that 23 teams from four different countries used to create a competitive leaderboard. Jump Florida Furtherance used the same draw for their indoor event, after they had performed the two Indoor Cloud League sequences.

They were at least able to compare their own scores with the outdoor results of the other AA Class teams in June. Furtherance is an outdoor team, with player-coach Bob Byrne in the lineup, and outdoor scores will hopefully follow soon, whenever the Florida Skydiving League will resume the 4-way activities.
