AtomiX competed right away in the AAA Class, and the 12.2 average in 7th place was the starting point of an impressive team career that peaked with the national 4-way title in 2019. The same lineup jumped to the 2nd place just a year later, even though they were still miles behind (13.8 - 19.2) the dominating Airbus 4-way team. However, AtomiX were on the mission to become the German 4-way champions one day, and they continued with the same and necessary motivation and energy.
Janine Tillenburg replaced Janina Jungen in 2015, and the new lineup moved once again closer (14.9 - 19.0) to the Airbus top spot as the runner-up.
Airbus probably began to pay AtomiX some attention when less than three average points (16.7 - 19.4) remained for a difference at the end of the German Nationals 2016. However, there would be a change in the lineup, as Janine Tillenburg would not be back for the 2017 season.
The competition for the top spot in 2017 was already a serious battle between Airbus and the new AtomiX lineup. Airbus just got away (18.4 - 17.6) with an 8-point difference, and AtomiX posted the next team record average.
The same lineup continued in 2018 and surprisingly did not increase the meet average at the national championships for the first time (16.9 - 20.0) while Airbus were back to the 20-average level. AtomiX were on track again at the ESL Championship 2018 and won with a 19.3 average. However, it was too late that year, and Airbus had successfully defended the top spot in Germany.
The same lineup went into their third year with Mark Zimmermann, still with Lars Naeven on camera and coach Luc Verstrepen, and the 2019 season finally had the desired and deserved outcome for Oceanside AtomiX. They finished once again with a new team record average (19.5) at the national championships, nine points ahead of Airbus this time.

Latest member Mark Zimmermann was still only committed to the three years that he had planned for his time with AtomiX, and the team needed a new inside center for the world meet season. The NSL News reported on 27 October 2019 that former ISR Thunder member Paul Hofstee was ready to compete for the new German national team.
Training began for the new lineup before the corona virus crisis changed the world, and the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 was finally canceled and rescheduled for August 2021. AtomiX could not train as much as needed and eventually made the very difficult decision in May this year to cancel their participation at the world meet, as the NSL News reported on May 24th.
AtomiX with the new lineup were planning to rather focus on the national championships this year and qualify for the next world meet in Eloy 2022. The new AtomiX plans after the cancellation of the trip to Russia then changed again when original members Andrea Kleinschmidt and Holger Sass recently left the team. Peter Ingenhaag, Paul Hofstee and team videographer Lars Naeve decided together with coach Luc Verstrepen that they will still try to defend their German 4-way title in September, and they have already recruited the new team members. Janine Tillenburg is back in her inside center slot, and Claire Rebhahn is completing the 2021/2022 lineup in the point slot. The NSL News will follow up with an evaluation of the new situation in Germany.
