Did You Know...

... that the Midwest medal contenders continue to collect meet experiences before the national championships?

Steve Lefkowitz with the U.S. delegation in Tanay
posted Sep 6th, 2021 - The five teams who competed for the Midwest Skydiving League League in August shared their leaderboards only with teams of the Carolina Skydiving League League last month. In fact, only the A Class leaderboard featured teams from different leagues. The MWSL teams in the AA Class had the whole leaderboard only for themselves.

More AA Class teams actually competed on the same weekend at the UK Nationals 2021. However, British Skydiving conduct a live competition draw for their national championships, which was not available timely for the Midwest Skydiving League teams.

MWSL Director Steve Lefkowitz would have liked to offer his teams the opportunity to compare their scores internationally, and the meet averages in August indicate that they would have generated an interesting combined leaderboard.

Steve Lefkowitz had just returned from his own international competition, the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020, where SDC Rhythm XP won the FAI silver medals behind NMP PCH HayaBusa. He was back in the air at the MWSL meet, as well, in the pickup lineup of A Class team Wabbit Wodeo.

CSC Constellation at the MWSL July meet
SDC Rhebellion XP were back on the same scoring level as in July in the team's next 8-round competition. It was a slightly slower draw in August, which also caused a few more penalties for Rhebellion.

New MWSL team SDC Funnel Vision were back with the same lineup and managed to increase their meet average despite the slower draw. Funnel Vision have now performed the complete AA Class dive pool in the two MWSL meets of July and August.

While SDC Rhebellion XP prepare their pursuit of AA/Intermediate Class medals at the USPA Nationals 2021, the Midwest Skydiving League could have another medal contender in the new A/Beginners Class at the national championships.

CSC Constellation have also attended both MWSL meets this year and increased the meet averages to a competitive level in this category.

Only two teams of the Arizona Skydiving League League have posted higher meet results in the United States this year, and the 7.4 average would have also tied the silver medal position at the UK Nationals in August...
