posted Nov 8th, 2021 - The Danish Indoor Nationals featured a re-match of the two teams who were in the two top spots at Denmark's outdoor championships in July. Things were slightly different though, as were the results of the re-match. Joey Jones was at the event to coach the new Danish national outdoor team Sequence and help all other teams who needed advice. He provided a summary of the competition in Berlin, Germany:

"What a great start for the Danish indoor championships 2021. 17 teams, six in AAA and 11 in the A Class. The Hurricane Factory Berlin provided an excellent venue at their amazing 17-ft tunnel. Denmark still doesn't have a proper tunnel for FS, so the organizers chose Berlin.

"The competition ran smoothly over two days, with the VAF Warriors showing their skills and the power of keeping a team together. VAF Warriors had their first competition in June 2012 when they started with a 16.4 average. They won easily over Sequence in Berlin with a 19.9 just one point shy of their team record average. Sequence finished in 2nd with an 18.0 average.

"Sequence had won the outdoor earlier this year with Kjetil Nordin who was filling in for Ulrik Hogsberg, who was stuck out of the country due to covid rules. Ulrik has returned to the team and will be training full time this season as a member of the national team project.

"Third place was secured by the all-female team Lost&Found. Former members of national teams in 4-way Women came together, and some of them have had quite a lay-off from flying. Very impressive comeback for sure.

"The only real competition was in the A Class. Sky Team and Hey Hallå were tied going into Round 9. The strong finish by Hey Hallå propelled them into first place by four points with a 15.3 average. The CISM team finished In third place behind Sky Team. Considering all the talent I saw in the A Class, the future of Danish 4-way competition looks bright.

VAF Warrior John Petersen said that his team had their own reunion at the indoor meet. He had competed with his original team mates Anne Mine Petersen and Martin Mikkelsen for the Danish CISM team at the outdoor championships, with Morten Krogh and Peter Faaborg (Video) completing the military lineup.

VAF Warrior Henning Skov was back in the lineup for the indoor meet, almost exactly two years after their previous reunion at the Danish Indoor Nationals 2019, where they won over a different Sequence lineup (Aetas Volat). The same four VAF Warriors now won again, after one hour of indoor training on Friday before Round 1 on Saturday, and the indoor results split the Danish 4-way indoor and outdoor titles.

Ulrik Hogsberg was back in the Sequence lineup in his new slot as inside center. Kjetil Nordin had substituted at the outdoor championship in July this year. Sequence did not complete much more training than the VAF Warriors, due to corona virus restrictions, which have now been lifted completely in Denmark.

Lost&Found, in 3rd place on the AAA Class leaderboard, had three Valkyria members of 2016 (Mie Jusjong, Nathalie Kressner, Maria Ondracek, Mia Stræde) in their lineup. The three original members with Nathalie Kressner stole the bronze medals from Subsonic, who had placed 3rd at the outdoor championship.

The closest competition took place in the A Class, where Hay Hallå won by four points over Sky Team and added their first indoor title to the outdoor gold medals of 2020. Hay Hallå had finished in 3rd place this year in July after missing the last two rounds.

The official CISM team placed 3rd on the A Class leaderboard. Morten Krogh, who was filming the AAA Class lineup at the outdoor championship, had to recruit a new lineup, as the three VAF Warriors were not available due to their indoor reunion. Bjarne Lyngsø, Christian Jensen and former Subsonic member William Lund of the Danish Air Force finished in 3rd place. The second CISM lineup will compete for Denmark's military forces at the CISM world meet in Qatar later this month. VAF Warrior John Petersen will be on camera for the CISM team and help them with coaching in the 4-way event.
