Did You Know...

... that iFLY Dallas is heading towards its new Indoor Cloud League record total?

Dallas Dynasty at the USPA Nationals with Lucas King and Alan Levy
posted Dec 6th, 2021 - Three of the regular player-coaches at the Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Dallas were busy with the last preparations for the USPA Nationals 2021, and they still took the time to perform the AAA/AA sequences in October.

Michael Erickson, Aaron Perkins and Caden Maydew were getting ready for the most important outdoor competition of the year, where they won the USPA silver medals in the AA/Intermediate Class, together with their player-coach Lucas King and team videographer Alan Levy. The NSL News reported the dramatic 10-round and 1-point battle with Kaos Theory on November 17th.

It was easier for Kyle Hermberg, ICL organizer at iFLY Dallas, to be available for his Dallas Dynasty team mates, as he is exclusively training and competing only at indoor events. He filled the slot for Lucas King that he had in the Dynasty lineup before the former Dallas 350 Advanced Class champion and Open Class competitor joined the team.

The complete previous lineup added 32 points to the iFLY Dallas October account, and three Dynasty members (Michael Erickson, Aaron Perkins, Kyle Hermberg) also guided two Rookie Class lineups through the October sequences.

iFLY Dallas Indoor Cloud League highscores in October
Dallas Dynasty with Kyle Hermberg at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021
The iFLY Dallas team is on the way to defend the 1st place on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard for 2021 that they took in July when Paraclete XP went into a 3-month hibernation break. The Hurricane Factory has been back in full strength since May this year, however, the lack of scores for the first four months of the year has probably put the Czech ICL team too far behind to catch up before the year's end.

It is still not only the consistency and the only clean ICL record this year that will probably generate a new ICL champion team by the end of the 12-month 2021 season. Two more 100+ totals for the remaining two months will also add up to the highest total in the history of iFL Dallas participation in the Indoor Cloud League.

It was in December 2016 when iFLY Dallas finished with the team's still standing record total of 1,272 ICL points. The total in 2016 was boosted by unlimited scores for all Rookie Class sequences throughout the whole year, and there were several very high numbers.

The rules were changed a few years back and now allow only a maximum score of 25 points for R/RR sequences. Even the scoring limits in the two categories will probably not hold back the iFLY Dallas team from still breaking their own record. Kyle Hermberg made it his mission to help increasing the performance level in general, and this year's final number at the end of December will provide more evidence that the plan has worked well.
