posted Dec 22nd, 2021 - Four teams of the small field at the 6th Dubai International Parachuting Championship (DIPC) also decided to add some extra time in Dubai and follow up with the ten indoor rounds at the 1st Dubai International Tunnel Championship (DIPC), just as the Tanay 8-way team did.

The top of the indoor leaderboard looked very different, with two teams joining the competition who did not jump from planes over the Palm Jumeirah before. The NSL News will follow up soon with more information of the competition between HF Cubs and a new VDV lineup.

The indoor rankings between the same four teams behind the HF Cubs and VDV looked very different, as well, compared to the order after the ten outdoor rounds. Amnesya (Italy), Papea (Spain) and Agera (Norway) reversed their positions completely, and only the same CISM lineup from Indonesia placed again behind the three other national teams.

No Mercy, Poland's national team in 4-way Women, who won the bronze medals at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020, did not stay for the indoor competition. The Polish team had visited with a different lineup in Dubai, with Katarzyna Sztokfisz replacing outside center Kinga Komorowska at the outdoor event.

Amnesya - No Mercy at the 1st DIPC 2021

Italy's national indoor and outdoor champions of Amnesya had a different lineup in Dubai, as well. Fabrizio Alghisi joined Chiara Brunetti, Livio Piccolo and Alessandro Anderlucci at both events and stepped in for Luca Marchioro.

Fabrizio Alghisi was training and competing with KetchUP ADV. His former team has not come back so far, after their last ten meet rounds at the Italian Outdoor Nationals 2020. Former Amnesya member and new NMP PCH HayaBusa 4-way world champion Michele Silvi had visited Italy's national outdoor championships in 2020 and commented the event on 8 October 2020.

The Amnesya lineup in Dubai ended up in 4th place at the outdoor competition and then outscored the other three teams who attended both events at Inflight Dubai. Amnesya finished behind 4Astrophe and Agera FS 2022 after Round 10 of the outdoor competition and missed the jump-off round by only seven points.

However, it is easier and less time-consuming to train with a new member or substitute for an indoor event. Amnesya increased their outdoor average in Dubai (15.1) significantly by almost seven average points for the ten indoor rounds to reverse the ranking order.

Amnesya - Agera FS 2022 - Papea at the 1st DITC 2021

The Spanish CISM lineup of Papea completed 28 competition rounds since the beginning of November, after the eight rounds at the CISM World Championship, followed by the 20 indoor and outdoor rounds in Dubai.

The last competition of the outdoor series that the Papea team completed after representing Spain at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020, winning the national outdoor championships in September, and traveling to Qatar for the CISM World Championship was the outdoor event in Dubai.

Papea were obviously much better prepared for the ten outdoor rounds of the 6th DIPC, where they easily finished in the top spot, even though they still launched their CISM Star (M) for each round. They could not keep up with the better tunnel-trained teams from Italy and Norway and ended up outside of the medal positions at the 1st DITC.

Agera FS 2022 increased their outdoor average almost as significantly (15.8 - 21.1) as Amnesya did and still could not force the Italian team into a jump-off round for the 3rd place, as they had done with 4Astrophe at the outdoor competition. However, both Norwegian performances resulted in the best 10-round averages in the team's short 4-way career.
