Did You Know...

... that France also has a new 4-way Junior lineup?

Aerokart Monaco Ak'demie juniors in 2019
posted Jan 28th, 2022 - The updates from France were still not complete after the introduction of the new national indoor team in 4-way Open on January 26th. National coach Mathieu Bernier also informed the NSL News that he has a new 4-way Junior team for the indoor world cup in April.

It's a new and young lineup (Chloé Massier, Eliot Rigazio, Logann Troussier, Noé Mattoni) who have one year of training behind them. They won last year's national indoor championships in the AA Class, which is the official 4-way Junior category at international FAI/ISC events. Aerokart Monaco Ak'demie's junior lineup outscored all other senior teams on the AA Class leaderboard at the same event.

The new French junior team posted their first scores at the Coupe de France indoor competition in February 2019. Chloe Massier and Noe Mattoni trained and competed together with Louis Caulier and Simon Caulier at that time and continued with this lineup until the French Indoor Nationals 2020 that they won on the AA Class leaderboard with a 12.7 average.

Chloe Massier and Noe Mattoni then started training with Eliot Rigazio and Logann Troussier, and they defended their AA Class title successfully with the 18.2 average in October 2021.

The French national team in 4-way Junior will have the HF Flying Rebels as their Czech opponent this time. The NSL News covered the 4-way Junior duel between HF Cubs and Aerokart Ak'demie comprehensively before, during and after the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019.

The most recent update on this topic pointed out that both former junior teams will meet each other again at the upcoming world cup, this time in two different 4-way senior events, 4-way Open and 4-way Women.

However, the same French/Czech 4-way junior duel will happen again, just with different teams. Jan Klapka in the Czech Republic explained earlier that the HF Flying Rebels will represent his delegation in 4-way Junior this time, while the HF Cubs will compete for 4-way Women medals.

The complete HF Flying Rebels lineup has been on a break since November. Only Denisa Jeziakova and Krystof Rulf competed at the January meet of the Czech Tunnel League, with 4-way seniors Marian Jeziak and Jan Klapka in the lineup. The HF Flying Rebels then missed the Czech Open Indoor Nationals 2022 completely.

Complete HF Flying Rebels lineup
The NSL News update on 28 November 2021 explained how Jan Klapka uses his own strategy to prepare his 4-way junior teams to get ready for their performances on 4-way Junior/AA Class leaderboards at the FAI/ISC events.

The HF Cubs trained and competed for several months in the AAA Class at other events before they stepped down to the AA Class dive pool at the indoor world meet. The strategy worked perfectly for Jan Klapka and the HF Cubs, as they won the 4-way Junior gold medals surprisingly.

The HF Flying Rebels and HF Chameleons juniors have been copying the same strategy and entered the AAA Class together at the beginning of the Czech 2021/2022 indoor competition season. The HF Flying Rebels competed three times in the AAA Class (20.2 - 18.7 - 17.8) with their complete lineup.

They will step back down to the AA Class dive pool in 4-way Junior at the indoor world cup, where Aerokart Monaco Ak'demie posted their 18.2 average for ten AA Class rounds in October. The next 4-way Junior showdown between France and Czech Republic and any other 4-way junior teams is coming up in April.
