Did You Know...

... that coach David Grauwels and team player Pete Allum came together for NSL Live Talk?

Meraki with Pete Allum and coach David Grauwels
posted Apr 7th, 2022 - The NSL News featured a conversation with Pete Allum on February 16th. One of the most experienced skydivers in the history of the sport provided details of the British Indoor Nationals 2022.

Pete Allum has mostly been known as one of the most popular coaches in the Formation Skydiving competition world, even though he has a long history as a very active competitor. The NSL News story with the NSL Live Talk brought him back to the audience as a 4-way competitor at the national indoor championships in February, where his team Meraki placed 2nd behind Chimera.

He was not in the player-coaching position any longer, as he explained. His team had hired Pete Allum on David Grauwels for the coaching work, and Pete Allum was more than happy to be nothing more than a team player.

Ever since the online conversation and the update from the British Indoor Nationals the NSL News has been hoping to connect Pete Allum and David Grauwels directly for NSL Live Talk, only online realistically, and it did not happen so far. Then came the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022, where both would be present.

It was still not that easy for them to make the time and themselves available for NSL Live Talk. Pete Allum is a true competitor, and he knows more than anybody what it takes to be a great team member. Meraki is competing seriously for a slot in the Top 10, where the British team was expected to be a part of. Especially the compressed format of an indoor competition does not offer many opportunities to make time for other things.

David Grauwels is helping five other teams through the competition, while still providing new NMP PCH HayaBusa member Neal Willems with as mich inside center information as possible. HayaBusa is safe in the bronze medal position and five points behind France.

He has also been also coaching Piteraq in 4-way Women, who are sitting strongly in the bronze medal position, as well. His former HayaBusa team mate Roy Janssen is trying to fire up Skynamite in the battle for FAI bronze medals.

However, Pete Allum and David Grauwels both took the time on Thursday, after the completion of the first four rounds and preparations for the next day, and they were available for NSL Live Talk at the same place and at the same time.
