posted Apr 10th, 2022 - Coaches and celebrities (David Grauwels, Dennis Praet, Pete Allum) came together one more time on Saturday at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 to wrap up the event with the final evaluation. All events of horizontal Formation Skydiving competition were completed, and the medal rankings were confirmed in the same order as they turned out at the end of the first day and the first four rounds.

David Grauwels was looking at the competition from the coaching perspective only, while he is getting ready to put on the HayaBusa jumpsuit very soon again for three months. New inside center Neal Willems is going to military boot camp and will not be available. NMP PCH HayaBusa will train with another new lineup for that time period.

David Grauwels was already on camera when HayaBusa won the last FAI gold medals at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020. Michele Silvi was inside center, Jeroen Nollet and Dennis Praet were in their usual slots in Russia last year.

Michele Silvi switched to outside center when Andy Grauwels did not continue after the outdoor world meet, and new member Neal Willems became HayaBusa's third inside center within a 2-year time period. David Grauwels explained how his team will benefit from the upcoming outdoor training with him and without Neal Willems.

Coaches Corner at Airspace Charleroi and the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022

Dennis Praet explained the situation from the inside perspective of a HayaBusa competitor. He is now the senior member of the current lineup. He was pleased with the results of his team at the indoor world cup, which is no surprise. NMP PCH HayaBusa won the FAI bronze medals more convincingly than it could be expected and did not leave ISR FireFlash a chance to get anywhere close. They also raised their own average with the new lineup once again significantly.

The distance to Arizona Airspeed, who are currently setting the world's 4-way standards, has become shorter, as the numbers are showing. The Belgians were closer to Airspeed at the end of the indoor competition compared to the outdoor results at the Shamrock Showdown 2022. This is more meaningful than it may appear, as the differences usually increase at indoor competitions.

Pete Allum was presenting his summary and impressions from a similar inside perspective, as he had competed with British team Meraki. His team was in a close battle for European bronze medals, which eventually went to the Czech Republic, together with the two sets of world cup gold medals in 4-way Women and 4-way Junior. HF Flying Circus finished with a new team record average that was rewarded with the bronze medals and the 5th place in a strong 4-way Open Class field.
