Did You Know...

... that the indoor/outdoor transition works well in Texas?

Dallas Dynasty at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022

posted Apr 13th, 2022 - The aftermath of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 will continue for a while. However, other events continue, and the two French competitors are not the only ones who transition to outdoor training and competition priority.

The Indoor Cloud League teams have their own balance between indoor and outdoor teams and competitors, which the NSL News has pointed out many times as a part of the ICL coverage. Kyle Hermberg, ICL organizer of the iFLY Dallas team, is one of the indoor experts, who focuses exclusively on indoor training and competition.

He provided the NSL News with the March update from Texas, where most of the ICL competitors are also jumping from planes. Kyle Hermberg's own team, Dallas Dynasty, placed 2nd in the AA/Intermediate Class competition of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021 and followed up outdoors with a 2nd place at the USPA Nationals 2021, with Lucas King replacing Kyle Hermberg and Alan Levy on camera.

The same indoor/outdoor combination and transition takes place this year, only in a different category. Dallas Dynasty with Kyle Hermberg won the Advanced Class gold medals at Paraclete XP, and Lucas King will guide the team into and through the outdoor season until the USPA Nationals in September.

Dallas Valkyrie at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022
Dallas Dynasty continue with regular indoor training throughout the outdoor season, as most other outdoor teams do, while they still have been scoring for the iFLY Dallas team on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard, as well. The ICL March videos for the AAA/AA sequences are still showing Kyle Hermberg in the lineup, who may soon step back as he did last year, and allow the outdoor lineup to train and perform indoors, as well.

Lucas King was present at the Indoor Cloud League event in March, where he was player-coaching Christina Edwards, Sydney Ward and Donaldo Grajeda for the A Class sequence. Dynasty members Aaron Perkins and Caden Maydew were also assisting Kyle Hermberg as player-coaches for other lineups.

Three members of Dallas Valkyrie were in the three other lineups. Valkyrie had won the gold medals in the 4-way Beginner category at the indoor championships, and they have no outdoor scores in their team records yet.

This does not count for Tarynn Ecton, Pressly Bonner and Nick Anderson who placed behind Valkyrie in 2nd place at the indoor championships. They competed at the outdoor meets of the Texas Skydiving League last year. The start of the outdoor season in Texas is coming up with the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown at the end of the month.
