Did You Know...

... that RhEvolution XP is back with a new and strong lineup?

Original SDC RhEvolution XP lineup in 2018
posted May 9th, 2022 - The SDC RhEvolution XP 4-way team was founded by Chris Normandeau, with original team members Gorka Amian, Josh Reinert and Brad Wallace in the lineup. SDC Rhythm XP member Andrew Happick was coaching and filming the team in 2018, together with Rhythm videographer Justin Wageman and Keith Nugent.

The lineup changed before the team's first USPA Nationals in 2018. Jason Krumholz replaced Brad Wallace in the tail slot, and RhEvolution finished in 2nd place on the AA/Intermediate Class leaderboard. They were not eligible for USPA medals at that time and competed as a guest team. SDMW X and Hands Free were on the podium instead, after a jump-off round between Hands Free and Cali4nia Kids for the bronze medals.

Gorka Amian, who was not eligible for USPA medals by then, continued with RhEvolution for the team's first year in the AAA/Advanced Class. Greg Oldendick joined the team in 2019 as the new outside center, with Jason Krumholz back in the tail slot. Chris Normandeau moved to point. The new lineup finished in 9th place at the USPA Nationals 2019 with almost exactly the same average as in the AA/Intermediate Class competition of 2018.

Greg Oldendick then joined Skydive Midwest NEXT for the team's comeback in 2020, after a 3-year break. Original RhEvolution member Gorka Amian followed him a year later, and together they are now pursuing medals in USPA's Open Class competition.

SDC Rhevolution XP in 2018
Not eligible for medals at the USPA Nationals 2018
Chris Normandeau re-built the RhEvolution lineup from scratch in 2020. Matt Alarif (Tail), Alex Bucevicius (Outside Center) and Chris Webb (Inside Center) joined the new lineup, with 2018 vodeographer Keith Nugent back on camera.

Due to the corona virus crisis, the 2020 season was a very slow one with only two competitions, one of them the NSL Cloud Mondial 2020, and the same RhEvolution lineup continued in 2021.

Chris Normandeau, Matt Alarif, Alex Bucevicius and Chris Webb won the first edition of an AAA/Advanced Class competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022 and attended two more NSL meets of the Carolina Skydiving League and the Midwest Skydiving League before winning silver medals in the AAA/Advanced Class competition of the USPA Nationals 2021.

The next change of the RhEvolution lineup became inevitable when the only returning SDC Rhythm XP member Doug Barron recruited Chris Webb for his own brandnew lineup, as the NSL News reported on 4 December 2021.

SDC Rhevolution XP in 2021
USPA Advanced Class silver in 2021
Former RhEvolution members Gorka Amian, Greg Oldendick and Chris Webb are now competing against each other for USPA medals on the highest level. Gorka Amian and Greg Oldendick have outscored Chris Webb twice so far, first at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022, then again at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022.

At the same time, team founder Chris Normandeau was looking out for a new lineup, and he was once again successful. He and his 2020/2021 team mate Alex Bucevicius are back with two new team members, as Matt Alarif does not continue, as well.

Chris Normandeau confirmed that Christine Bruchac and Zack Winoker have joined RhEvolution XP for the 2022 season. The new lineup will train exclusively at Paraclete XP and are not affiliated with Skydive Chicago (SDC) and the Rhythm project any longer.

Both new RhEvolution XP members are very experienced 4-way competitors, after their times with Phoenix XP (Christine Bruchac) and Elsinore Elevate (Zack Winoker). RhEvolution XP is still eligible for USPA's Advanced Class medals and will probably be the top contender in this category in September.
