posted May 23rd, 2022 - The NSL News reported on April 13th that the indoor/outdoor transition was working well in Texas. Dallas Dynasty member Kyle Hermberg, Indoor Cloud League organizer for the iFLY Dallas team, is working all year long with his ICL participants, including a good number of indoor/outdoor teams and competitors.

He had finished the ICL month of March, and the first outdoor competition of the Texas Skydiving League, the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown on April 30th, was next for any 4-way teams in Texas. In the meantime, Kyle Hermberg continued to work on the April sequences of the Indoor Cloud League.

The next outdoor competition in Texas will be the Spaceland Pre-Nationals, as the NSL News reported on May 20th. Scott Latinis and Skydive Spaceland's Marketing/Communications Director Christy West are working on the logistics for the outdoor competition, while Kyle Hermberg has three sets of Indoor Cloud Sequences to take care of (May, June, July) before the Spaceland Pre-Nationals competition takes place. The ICL event for the month of May is still running for little over a week, and the draws for June and July are not posted yet.

British AA Class team SQU4D Game on the April 30th meet weekend
As last year at the Spaceland Pre-Nationals, the teams from Texas in April this year at Spaceland San Marcos, were also a part of a multi-event NSL Network weekend. They shared the April leaderboard once again with several British teams and Anion Flux XP from Florida.

The Indoor Cloud League activities are based on a very similar format, where the participating teams and competitors share the same sequences and then compare scores and videos, only on a monthly basis, and with two additional Rookie Class categories (RR - R).

The participants compete internally for the highest score in each of the six categories, before the regional ICL organizers decide which videos of the best performances will be posted and added to the monthly scoring total of the respective ICL teams.

Four different ICL teams have currently scores and videos on the 2022 leaderboard, while eight teams used to participate before the corona virus crisis impacted even heavier on indoor than on outdoor activities.

Cowboy Up at the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown
It was a small overlapping group of indoor and outdoor competitors in April, who attended the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown outdoor competition of the Texas Skydiving League on April 30th and participated before at Kyle Hermberg's Indoor Cloud League event.

Only Dallas Dynasty member Michael Erickson, Christine Edwards and Donaldo Grajeda were at both events. Michael Erickson, 4-way Advanced Class gold medalist with Dallas Dynasty at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022, guided Caleb Rydbeck, Nick Anderson and Scott Kucel as the player-coach for two of the Rookie Class sequences (RR - R). Dallas Valkyrie member Christine Edwards and Donaldo Grajeda took on the two 4-way Open/Advanced Class sequences (AAA), with Kyle Hermberg and Dallas Dynasty's player-coach Lucas King in the lineup.

Christine Edwards and Michael Erickson then competed at the outdoor event of the Texas Skydiving League on April 30th for AAA Class team Cowboy Up, together with Dallas Dynasty's Aaron Perkins and Christine Edwards' Valkyries team mate Sydney Ward. Donaldo Grajeda was filming the team through the five outdoor rounds. The next outdoor competition in Texas is the Spaceland Pre-Nationals 2022, and Kyle Hermberg is offering Indoor Cloud League activities at iFLY Dallas in the meantime.
