Did You Know...

... that HF Flying Circus have completed 74 rounds in eight meets this year?

European Championships awards in Charleroi
posted Jul 15th, 2022 - The three AAA Class teams at the July meet of the Czech Skydiving League were exactly the same who launched the 2022 outdoor season in June. Only the Czech 4-way juniors continue regularly with the indoor activities, as the NSL News reported on June 30th, while the 4-way seniors enjoy jumping from air planes in the summer months.

The same three teams had completed ten rounds last month, while the July meet suffered weather conditions that allowed only four rounds. HF Flying Circus competed with the same lineup who won the bronze medals of the European Championships at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022.

In fact, HF Flying Circus have now trained and competed with the same lineup since Jakub Klapka joined the team in 2015. The Czech national 4-way team is also ahead of all other teams in the world with meet attendance this year.

Dagmar Bezdekova, Martina Vavackova, Lukas Kaderabek and Jakub Klapka have completed 74 rounds of 4-way competition in the eight meets they have attended this year since January, six indoor meets and the first two outdoor competitions of the Czech Skydiving League. Only Jakub Klapka's father Jan Klapka is anywhere close to this record with his M Team (59 rounds in seven indoor and outdoor meets).

The M Team, however, has changes in the lineup here and there, and the one in July was once again slightly different than in June. The Dream Team have a flexible lineup, as well. The roster includes Sabina Ciolekova, who competed outdoors in 2020 and 2021, as a 4-way Junior world champion of 2019 and 4-way Women winner at the FAI Indoor World Cup this year.

Sabina Ciolekova has not been back yet with the Dream Team at the meets in June and July, and Vaclav Prokes took the open slot. Jan Kollmann became another new Dream Team member in July, as Accord's Dana Stankova was not available. The Dream Team suffered a video failure in Round 3 and could still finish ahead of the M Team.

Jan Klapka also welcomed a new team in the Rookie Class. Mismas are the first Czech team in this category since High Five competed regularly between 2018 and 2020. High Five had started in the RRR Class at the Czech indoor meets and made it all the way up to one indoor season in the AA Class. High Five even represented the Czech Republic in the A Class at the ESL Championship 2019. This annual event was interrupted by the corona virus crisis, as well, and it has a comeback in September this year, right after the USPA Nationals.
