posted Aug 3rd, 2022 - The combined leaderboard of the Pre-Nationals 2022 begins shaping up. The scores of XPG4 and Anion Flux XP have been added, after professional evaluation by InTime, even though the videos do not include the usual features.

However, at least the number of point deductions are assigned to the according rounds and help to get a better impression of the posted scores.

It becomes more and more clear that the audience can expect an exciting competition between XPG4 and Skydive Midwest NEXT at the USPA Nationals next month. Both teams were close to each other last year at the national outdoor championships in their competition for the 5th place.

The significant difference this year is the fact that the same NEXT lineup and the new XPG4 lineup will most likely compete for USPA medal positions this year, as they have increased their performance and scoring levels up to the medal level.

They made the same point already at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022, where they finished in 2nd and 3rd place behind Arizona Airspeed.

It is unlikely that other U.S. 4-way teams will easily place ahead of them. SDC Rhythm XP is aiming at the same medal positions, while the Golden Knights will probably not even field any 4-way or 8-way teams for the U.S. Army.

XPG4 - Skydive Midwest NEXT at the Pre-Nationals 2022

XPG4 finished behind Skydive Midwest NEXT last year and turned the table at this year's indoor championships with a 5-point lead. The U.S. national team in 4-way Women is now six points ahead of NEXT, after the eleven outdoor rounds of the Pre-Nationals, which is the same before and also after penalties.

After the USPA Nationals, XPG4 still have another month to get ready for the FAI Outdoor World Meet in October, and the scoring numbers are expected to increase even more after two more months of outdoor training.

Anion Flux XP placed themselves at the position where the new AA Class competitors were expecting and hoping to be in their first year in this category. The Sebastian team and 49 1/2 Finger Death Punch from Texas almost matched their penalty situations, as well, with six point deductions for Anion Flux XP, seven for their AA Class opponent.

Air Raid XP, with Jeana Billings in the lineup, is next on the judging list for InTime, and the scores will be added to the combined leaderboard tomorrow. More AAA Class scores will follow hopefully soon, as well. The leaderboard is still open for additional submissions in all three categories until the current gaps will be filled with numbers.
