Did You Know...

... that two more Czech 4-way juniors posted their first outdoor scores?

NMP PCH HayaBusa in Prostejov 2014
posted Aug 22nd, 2022 - The Czech Open Outdoor Nationals 2022 brought together teams from three neighboring countries, the hosting nation, Slovakia and Hungary. The event took place in Prostejov, the skydiving center where NMP PCH HayaBusa won their first FAI world championship title in 2014.

Prostejov had also hosted the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2009 and the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2012. None of the same three countries had participating teams at the same three FAI events.

HF Flying Circus had just launched their team career at the Czech Rookie Class indoor events in 2014 when the Belgian 4-way world champions won for the first time and then defended the world's top position until giving it up to Arizona Airspeed at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022.

HF Flying Circus witnessed the beginning of the HayaBusa era in 2014, and they were also at the same place at the same time when Arizona Airspeed took over at least the world's indoor top spot, and before they will probably add the outdoor title to the new order of the world's current 4-way power rankings.

HF Flying Circus in 2014
The Hungarian 4-way team Bronteroc witnessed the same change of 4-way power at the indoor world cup in Charleroi, where they posted their scores on the same leaderboard together with HF Flying Circus. In fact, Bronteroc have met the Czech 4-way national team at each of the three competitions that the Hungarians have attended in 2022. The first visit was for the Czech Open Indoor Championship in January this year.

The NSL News had introduced Bronteroc with NSL Live Talk during the indoor world cup on April 19th, and HF Flying Circus got the NSL News attention a day later.

The recent nine competition rounds between HF Flying Circus and Bronteroc in Prostejov may not even be the end of this 2022 duel. Both teams were making their first plans for the participation at the outdoor world meet at Skydive Arizona in October at the time when they competed in Charleroi.

HF Flying Circus did not have the complete lineup available last week, and former Bad Boys member Vaclav Prokes replaced Inside Center Lukas Kaderabek for the event. It took a few rounds until the Czech team found their way with the alternate, and Bronteroc were even two points ahead after Round 3 and before HF Flying Circus began to pick up the pace.

HF Flying Circus - Bronteroc at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022
Dream Team in 2020
Despite this new re-match between HF Flying Circus and Bronteroc, the most interesting part of the outdoor competition was once again the lineup of the Dream Team. The NSL News covered the first outdoor competition of former Czech 4-way Junior world champion Sabina Ciolekova on 6 July 2020.

Sabina Ciolekova had won the 4-way Junior title with the HF Cubs at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2019 and started with outdoor training soon after. A year later, she competed with the Dream Team at the July meet of the Czech Skydiving League. She was back with the Dream Team a year later in July and August 2021 and has not competed at outdoor events this year so far.

However, the Dream Team now introduced two new 4-way juniors to outdoor training and competition. Martin Stransky is another reigning 4-way Junior world cup champion after the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 where he won with the HF Flying Rebels. He was the junior team's Inside Center and took the same slot for the Dream Team.

Filip Lukavec won the bronze medals with HF Chameleons in Charleroi, and he will even continue with the 4-way junior team until next year's indoor world meet. He won the bronze medal as the Inside Center and was in the Point slot for the Dream Team. Jan Klapka explained that the HF Chameleons have been learning and training all slots. 4-way seniors Dana Stankova (Tail) and Marian Jeziak (Outside Center) completed the lineup.
