Former Deland Norgies member Carl-Erik Tuv launched the project, with its headquarters at the skydiving center in Tonsberg, when he could not accept the situation any longer that Norway had no 4-way Open Class teams at FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving, or at any relevant and international competitions.
Carl-Erik Tuv won FAI bronze medals at three consecutive world meets (1999, 2001, 2003) with the DeLand Norgies, and other Norwegian 4-way teams were a part of the 4-way momentum in the Scandinavian country (Arcteryx, Norgie Girls, Polaris).
However, X3M4S Elements became the last Norwegian 4-way team attending an FAI World Meet in Menzelinsk 2010. DeLand Norgies and X3M4S member Kjetil Nordin are still active in 4-way competition, while world meets and world cups have gone by without Norwegian teams.
Agera and the Norwegian project leaders extended their original time-frame by two years after the cancellation of the world meet in Russia. It seemed like Agera would be able to attend two world meets within two years, while 4-way teams usually need four years for the same, including the qualification at national championships.
It did not work out this way, as the logistical complications for participation at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 in August 2021 did not allow the Norwegian delegation to make it to Russia last year. However, the second outdoor world meet in Agera's time-frame will take place this month in Eloy. In fact, Agera now have a plan until the summer of 2023, when Norway will be hosting the FAI Outdoor World Cup in Voss, including the FAI European Championship in Formation Skydiving competition.

Agera were already on their way to the airport for the last training camp before the world meet at Skydive DeLand, when Agera tail Kristoffer Thorstensen could not find his passport. He could not follow through with the travel plans, while Nadia Jorgenrud, Julian Frayne, Kjetil Viste Levik and team videographer Kristoffer Overli Andersen took off heading to Florida.
They were hoping that Kristoffer Thorstensen would find his passport and then join them at Skydive DeLand. In the meantime, they were hoping to find an adequate substitute in Florida. Coach Solly Williams, who used to be in the tail slot when DeLand Majik won the world championships in 2004, was not available after a knee surgery that he was still recovering from. Eventually, NSL News reporter Kurt Gaebel, who was recently in the tail slot for Anion Flux XP at the USPA Nationals, stepped in trying to keep up with the well trained Norwegian 4-way team. Kristoffer Thorstensen still has no passport, and Carl-Erik Tuv is getting ready to go back to his tail slot in Eloy. He will be there anyway as the Head of the Norwegian world meet delegation. The bad luck for Agera was not over yet. The training with the substitute was over much too soon, when Hurricane Ian hit Central Florida heavily, after 27 jumps in the first three days...
