Did You Know...

... that HF Flying Circus soon travel to their first outdoor world meet?

HF Chameleons in action
posted Oct 7th, 2022 - The Indoor Cloud League update on August 16th covered the July scores and videos of the iFLY Dallas team and provided an overview of the ICL situation at that point in time. It included sad news from the Czech Republic, where Jan Klapka had to deal with new troubles after the pandemic, this time on the political and economical side.

The problems resulted in two months without participation of Czech teams in Prague's Hurricane Factory. In fact, Jan Klapka did not really know by then when he would be able to resume his activities, including the extremely successful 4-way junior project.

The combination of the senior outdoor summer and the junior school vacation slowed down the Czech Indoor Cloud League participation already in June, which turned out to be the last month of indoor scores and videos from the Czech Republic, as the NSL News reported on June 30th.

June was an Indoor Cloud League month without any 4-way seniors on the Czech leaderboard. Three 4-way junior teams (Chameleons, Rusalky, Dragonflies) took on the AAA/AA sequences, and the Chameleons, bronze medalists in 4-way Junior at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022, scored two 20-pointers for the Hurricane Factory's team of 4-way juniors.

Fortunately, Jan Klapka had an earlier comeback with his Indoor Cloud League team than even he may have expected. The troubles are still the same in the Czech Republic, which is only a few hundred miles away from the border to Ukraine. However, he found a way how to offer his 4-way juniors the training that has become a part of their schedule like any other sports.

The Hurricane Factory was back in September with a full set of scores and videos for all six sequences, and Jan Klapka had support from two senior teams, too. HF Flying Circus and M Team both returned to indoor 4-way, after the national championships in August more or less concluded the outdoor season in the Czech Republic.

HF Flying Circus are anything but done with outdoor training and competition though. They have the FAI Outdoor World Meet at Skydive Arizona on their schedule, and they will very soon travel to Eloy.

It's difficult to imagine that the upcoming outdoor world meet will be the first one for HF Flying Circus, who have been together as a 4-way team since 2014, with the current lineup since 2015. The Czech team is one of the busiest 4-way teams with regular meet attendance, and the outdoor world meet will yet be a new experience.
