posted Oct 17th, 2022 - Denmark's national team in 4-way Open for the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 was probably the last team posting most recent scores before traveling to Skydive Arizona. It was the Danish national indoor championship where Sequenz won the AAA Class competition.

The national indoor championships in Denmark have been held shortly after the end of the outdoor season in the past years, while most other countries schedule their championships closer to the end of the indoor season, which usually conclude with FAI's indoor world meets or world cups.

Sequenz joined the other Danish 4-way teams anyway, even though they have been in the middle of their outdoor preparations for the competition in Eloy. As for the previous indoor championships, the teams also had to travel once again from Denmark to Berlin, Germany, where the Hurricane Factory has been the host for the event.

The NSL News introduced Sequenz and the comeback of Vibeke Birk Tiedemann and the team name with the update from Denmark on 9 July 2021. A closer look at the Sequenz history on 16 July 2021 pointed out that the original member Vibeke Birk Tiedemann was hoping in 2007 to compete one day at a FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving.

Denmark's participation history in 4-way Open at FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving

It took a while until Vibeke Birk Tiedemann's hopes finally materialized. Sequenz won the national 4-way title in 2021 after her comeback and qualified for the upcoming world meet. Denmark's current national outdoor team in 4-way Open and new indoor champions had to give back the outdoor title to the CISM team in August. However, they will represent Denmark in Eloy nevertheless.

Sequenz bring back Denmark to the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving. National teams from Denmark never missed an outdoor world meet between 1985 and 2016, and the lineup of 1993 and 1995 won two sets of FAI bronze medals for the small Scandinavian country.

Three different teams (Voluntas 2012- VAF Warriors 2014 - Pangaea 2016) competed for Denmark at the last world meets before Denmark disappeared from FAI leaderboards and left two blank spots in the history of Denmark's 4-way Open Class history.

The Danish skydiving federation, with Sequenz member Hans Oksen supporting a new 4-way project, finally decided to put Denmark back on the FAI leaderboards and sanctioned the national champions to represent the country at this year's event at Skydive Arizona. Denmark will not be back on the medal level right away, and they will probably miss a Top 10 position. Sequenz may still aim at the level where VAF Warriors and Pangaea left it before the break...
