Did You Know...

... that Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team had new record participation in October?

XPG4 on home turf at the Paraclete XP windtunnel
posted Nov 8th, 2022 - Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League event in June generated the largest participation so far. Eight different lineups had competed for the six highest scores for the June sequences. However, two of the eight lineups were teams in training for the USPA Nationals at that time, XPG4 and Air Raid XP.

The four XPG4 player-coaches (Jeana Billings, Michelle Karamon, Brenn Richards, Anna Brunner) then joined forces with the other 18 participants for the additional six lineups.

The most recent Indoor Cloud League event at Paraclete XP exceeded the previous record participation in June. This time, only Jeana Billings, Brenn Richards and Anna Brunner took care of the October event, as Michelle Karamon staid at her home after the completion of the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 at Skydive Arizona.

Neither XPG4 nor any other complete teams joined the October event at the end of the month, and the three XPG4 members were player-coaches for the eight different lineups. The new record number of 22 participants at the ICL event created a competitive situation to post the highest scores in the six ICL categories. Only Jeana Billings' AAA Class lineup (Carin Lildejahl, Nicole Land, Jack Ronalter) had no competition on the Paraclete XP leaderboard for this sequence.

FAI bronze medals at Skydive Arizona: XPG4
Six of the eight lineups performed the A and RRR Class sequences both for an internal 2-round competition that Wendy Helton, Cheryl Morgan, Jenn and Tim Reynolds won with a total of 41 points. Jeana Billings' AAA/AA lineup actually posted the highest score for the A Class sequence, as well (19), which could not be used for the October total.

According to the ICL rules, the same lineup can only post highscores for two neighboring sequences. Three different lineups eventually combined for Paraclete XP's total of 113 ICL points for the month of October.

XPG4 reported from Paraclete XP that the great ICL turnout was connected to a big-way event that Kirk Verner and Guy Wright organized, and the North Carolina Female State Record event that also happened at the same time.

Several participants used the opportunity to add some tunnel time to their visit at Paraclete XP. In addition, Jeana Billings and Anna Brunner introduced Angela Diddams and Cameron Chase to the 4-way world, who had just received their USPA A licenses.

FAI gold medals in 8-way: Jeana Billings and Michelle Karamon with XP8
Paraclete XP joined the Indoor Cloud League in 2017. The events at the windtunnel with the largest flying chamber in the United States have attracted over 200 participants until now, and many 4-way and 8-way world champions have volunteered time to forward their knowledge and experiences as player-coaches.

The participants have the opportunity to witness the flying skills of the best 4-way and 8-way competitors in the world, while they are testing and improving their own skills. Indoor Cloud League events in general are offering the broadest range of 4-way experiences at the same time and location.

The three XPG4 members at the October event had just returned after winning bronze medals in 4-way Women at the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022. Jeana Billings was also in Paraclete XP's 8-way lineup, together with her team mate Michelle Karamon, and they won their second set of 8-way Open Class gold medals at the same event.

XPG4 members Brenn Richards and Anna Brunner attended their first outdoor world meet in Eloy, Anna Brunner a year after her step from AA/Intermediate Class training and competition to the 4-way Open Class.
