... that five Air Force teams took on the Indoor Cloud League October sequences for iFLY Colorado Springs?

iFLY Colorado Springs' Indoor Cloud League team in September
posted Nov 13th, 2022 - The cooperation between the founders of the Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Colorado Springs, Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel, and the 4-way teams of the Air Force Academy in Colorado began in September this year, three months after the first Indoor Cloud League event at the second iFLY windtunnel in Colorado, as the NSL News reported on October 9th.

Four Air Force lineups participated in the September event, and one of them (Air Force Night Fury) contributed 22 points for the AA Class sequence to iFLY Colorado Springs' Indoor Cloud League total for September.

The same four Air Force teams had been opponents for the civilian 4-way competitors from Colorado at the USPA Nationals 2022, including Emily Bombardi's and Eric Daniel's 4-way team This Is Our Season on the Advanced Class leaderboard.

The number of Air Force teams at the October event of the Indoor Cloud League at iFLY Colorado Springs even increased to five, as the Air Force seniors of the 9-Ball lineup joined the cadets on the ICL October leaderboard. Air Force 9-Ball scored the highest number (19) for the AAA Class sequence, and Air Force Night Fury added the 14 points for the AA Class. Three other teams tied the highscore for this category.

Air Force 9-Ball member Jarrod Aranda was already in the AAA/AA lineup of September, where he had joined forces with Emily Bombardi, Amanda Lampton and Eric Daniel. This time, his own complete lineup took on the AAA Class sequence and outscored his September team mates by two points. Amanda Lampton was back for Emily Bombardi's and Eric Daniel's AAA Class lineup in October and replaced Jarrod Aranda.

Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel had competed with Amanda Echevarria, Ari Perelman and Steven Thoene at the USPA Nationals, where Jarrod Aranda's 9-Ball lineup finished as the strongest Air Force team in the AAA/Advanced Class. The NSL News reported on October 14th that Jarrod Aranda had won silver medals 20 years ago with Air Force Blue in 2002, first at the USPA Nationals, followed by the NSL Championship at SkyQuest Florida.

He was not the only 2002 member at the USPA Nationals this year, 20 years after winning silver medals. 9-Ball's team videographer Rick McClure was filming Air Force Blue by then, as well, and he was back in action behind the camera at Skydive Chicago.

Air Force 9-Ball have even more history in the recent lineup. Inside Center Mike Bush had the same slot for Air Force team CAD who won silver medals in the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2006. Jarrod Aranda and Mike Bush now posted the AAA Class highscore for iFLY Colorado Springs together, while Rick McClure was not needed at the indoor event with the top camera.
