Did You Know...

posted Nov 20th, 2022 - The NSL News reported on October 31st that the September leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League featured all five currently participating teams with scores and videos for the same month. It was the first sign of recovery from the ongoing crises that have made indoor and outdoor training and competition very difficult.

It was apparently not just a hay fire, as the same five Indoor Cloud League teams were back with scores and videos in October, as well. The previous update with the good news was related to Kyle Hermberg's ICL team at iFLY Dallas, and it happens once again that he also completes the leaderboard for the month of October.

The current ranking for the year would change if only the two months with the complete scores by all teams would be the base for the calculation. Of course, the five teams would be much closer to each other with their totals only for September and October.

iFLY Dallas would still be in 1st place, while Kyle Hermberg would only have a 3-point lead over ICL Midwest (255 - 252) in 2nd place. It would also be very close between Hurricane Factory and Paraclete XP (223 - 221) in 3rd and 4th place. Emily Bombardi's and Eric Daniel's ICL team at iFLY Colorado Springs will be very close to the Czech and Paraclete teams as soon as they add the two missing Rookie Class scores (RRR - R) to the October total.

Kyle Hermberg completed the six sequences with three different lineups. He took care of the AAA/AA Class combination together with his Dallas Dynasty team mates Caden Maydew and Michael Erickson, Donaldo Grajeda completed the lineup.

Dallas Dynasty's indoor lineup competed only at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship this year. Outdoor player-coach Lucas King joined 4s of NotSure in the AAA/Advanced Class at the USPA Nationals. One of his team mates at the national championships was Katie Healy who was now recruited for the new Skydive Midwest NEXT lineup, as the NSL News reported on November 17th.

Former Dynasty member Caden Maydew went a step further and competed in the AAA/Open Class with Spaceland Apex. He posted his personal AAA Class record average (14.7) with the lineup of highly experienced 4-way competitors. He was back with his two Dynasty team mates in October and also helped the Rookie Class lineup of the iFLY Dallas team in one of the two slots for player-coaches.
