Did You Know...

... that Katie Healy and Stanley Bukala joined forces three years after their ICL start?

ICL Midwest team in November 2022
posted Dec 7th, 2022 - The NSL News covered the new lineup of Skydive Midwest NEXT for the first time briefly with the Indoor Cloud League October update of the ICL Midwest team on November 5th. A more comprehensive overview of the new situation was published on November 17th, which related at the same time to the new lineup of SDC Rhythm XP.

The ICL Midwest team had its own comeback in July, after the interruptions due to the corona virus crisis, as the NSL News reported on August 2nd. Then the ICL Midwest team became a part of the signs for a comeback of the whole Indoor Cloud League, as the ICL update on November 20th indicated.

Three ICL teams are already on the November leaderboard, and there seems to be a good chance that the ICL comeback will continue until the end of the 2022 season. ICL Midwest was one of the three teams who submitted the November information early at the beginning of December.

Skydive Midwest NEXT members once again worked together to introduce new participants to 4-way training and competition. Lauren Byrd, one of the two leaving members, continues offering her experiences as a player-coach at the ICL events, together with her former team mate and returning NEXT member Greg Oldendick. New SDMW NEXT member Katie Healy completed the lineup of player-coaches in November.

AAA/AA ICL Midwest lineup in December 2020
ICL Midwest team member Stanley Bukala received the royal 4-way treatment in November, with all three NEXT player-coaches in the lineup for the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA). It felt probably like a reward for his long-time continuity at the events, after Skydive Midwest NEXT launched the ICL Midwest team in 2020.

He joined for the first time at the ICL event in December 2020 and has been a regular ever since. In fact, he launched his own Indoor Cloud League participation with the ICL Midwest team in a very similar situation. Skydive Midwest members Megan George and Lauren Byrd were his player-coaches, and Katie Healy completed the AAA/AA lineup.

Katie Healy was in the process of working her way up to higher 4-way levels at that point in time. Three years later, Skydive Midwest NEXT's Greg Oldendick and Gorka Amian selected her for their new lineup.

Katie Healy and Stanley Bukala both did not have many experiences with the complete FAI dive pool in 2020. Stanley Bukala's previous teams, SDMW eXtreme (2014 - 2016) and SDC Connect 4 (2017), competed in the AA/Intermediate Class. He has now been performing the AAA/AA/Open Class sequences of the Indoor Cloud League each month since August. Katie Healy was his AAA/AA team mate once again in September and November,
