Did You Know...

... that the Indoor Cloud League started into the new year with record numbers?

Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team in January 2020
posted Feb 9th, 2023 - The NSL News reported on January 30th that the Indoor Cloud League had a promising start into the new year, after the ICL teams at Paraclete XP, ICL Midwest and iFLY Colorado Springs had submitted January data even before the month was over.

It turned out that the first month of the year lived up to the promising beginning, as the January leaderboard features the highest number of scores and videos since February 2020, the last month before the implications of the corona virus crisis interfered heavily. The Indoor Cloud League had reached peak participation in November and December 2019 with seven teams and record numbers, and the momentum was carried into the first two months of 2020.

The participation in January 2023 does not only provide evidence for a successful comeback and promises a potential return to the record numbers at the end of 2019. The 31 scores and videos for last month match the Indoor Cloud League participation on the way to the record numbers in November and December 2019.

It is an additional promising and exciting fact that the January leaderboard features the tightest scoring numbers in the history of monthly events between five different teams. The January winner, Paraclete XP, finished only 11 points ahead of the team in 5th place (126 - 115), and iFLY Dallas, with the defending ICL champions of 2022, was one single point behind Paraclete XP.

Indoor Cloud League 2023: January Highscores
ICL Capital Region's team in January 2020
Four of the six teams in January shared the six highscores for the ICL sequences. The winner, Paraclete XP, finished with the highest total, even without posting any of the six highscores. HF Flying Circus and HF Cubs had their usual battle for the highest scores in the Open Class (AAA/AA) at the Hurricane Factory, and the Czech national team in 4-way Open, HF Flying Circus, won both categories on the ICL January leaderboard.

The Tall Boys of the Air Force Academy posted the A Class highscore at iFLY Colorado Springs and shared the 23-pointer with Lucas King's A Class lineup at iFLY Dallas (Alexa Boushey, Sarah Watson, Sydney Ward). The same lineup added the RRR Class highscore to the iFLY Dallas account.

Two other lineups at iFLY Dallas scored the maximum number of 25 points for the RR Class sequence. Tarynn Ecton, Caden Maydew, Donaldo Grajeda and Nick Anderson had the honor to represent the iFLY Dallas team in this category.

Air Force team PoisEN tied the capped highscore at iFLY Colorado Springs after scoring 34 points in working time. Former Skydive Midwest NEXT members Lauren Byrd and Chris Haslam guided Francisco Mendoza and Nick Sclafani to the January highscore for the R Class sequence.
