Did You Know...

... that New England 4-way teams are preparing for the first season of the New England Skydiving League?

Paula Philbrook with team Surprise and coach Jack Jefferies
posted Jan 14th, 2000 - Paula Philbrook at Skydive Pepperell had been observing the activities of the National Skydiving League already from its very beginnings. Recently, the local interest in joining the rapidly growing National Skydiving League has become strong enough to initiate the beginning of the league this year.

Paula Philbrook is convinced that only Skydive Pepperell alone can already produce a few teams with the motivation to learn about 4-way competition. Negotiations with Skydive Lebanon in Maine have begun to possibly join forces. Both drop zones are within one hour of driving distance from each other, and both drop zones have always had 4-way teams competing. As soon as the cooperation has been worked out, a 2000 schedule will be released.

At the same time, more efforts regarding new leagues are taking place in Kansas and Oklahoma. Another new league may grow in the central region of the United States. Perhaps the National Skydiving League will have to introduce new skies sooner than expected, the Western Skies, the Central Skies and the Eastern Skies. However, the structure will remain as announced for the 2000 season, with the Western skies and the Eastern Skies only
