Did You Know...

... that HF Flying Rebels posted one of the Czech ICL highscores in February?

Indoor Cloud League February break: HF Flying Circus
posted Mar 4th, 2023 - HF Flying Circus, the Czech national team in 4-way Open, took a month off from scoring for the Indoor Cloud League team at the Hurricane Factory in February. They have had plenty of indoor competition practice after the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022 and completed six 4-way indoor meets since Eloy.

They attended the February meet of the Czech Tunnel League and had the opportunity to meet Finland's national team, Purple Maze, on the same leaderboard, as the NSL News reported on March 2nd.

Jan Klapka, manager of the Czech Indoor Cloud League team, can often use the scores of HF Flying Cirus and/or HF Cubs for the monthly ICL total, and he still had the HF Cubs in February who performed the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA).

However, two of the many 4-way Junior teams have been performing the AAA/AA sequences already since the beginning of the 2020/2021 winter season, HF Flying Rebels, the Czech national team in 4-way Junior, and their friends and opponents of the HF Chameleons.

AAA Class 4-way Junior team: HF Chameleons
The same two junior teams have been in their own duel to win the qualification as the national team for the indoor world championship in Slovakia. The FAI event uses the AA Class dive pool and rules for the 4-way Junior teams, and the two Czech teams still challenged each other regularly with complete AAA Class competition draws.

The NSL News reported on January 18th that HF Flying Rebels eventually won the internal qualification and will compete for the Czech Republic in Slovakia next month. Then and there they will perform AA Class sequences, without 6-point sequences and slot-switching blocks.

Jan Klapka could not take advantage of the two well trained 4-way Junior teams any longer, as HF Flying Rebels and HF Chameleons both could not improve the scores by HF Flying Circus and HF Cubs, while they had grown out of all Rookie Class categories and the A Class, according to the Indoor Cloud League regulations.

However, the intensive AAA Class training has brought the 4-way juniors almost to the same level of the Czech senior teams. HF Flying Rebels eventually tied the 24-pointer of the HF Cubs for the AA sequence in February (G,1,6) and Jan Klapka honored the major achievement by posting the video of the HF Flying Rebels for the AA sequence. The 27-pointer for the AAA slot-switcher (D,1,B,12) was still one Juan (D) and the whole Block 1 away...
