Did You Know...

... that Airspeed's Mikhail Markine provided technical insights of 4-way data evaluation?

Outside center world champion in Maubeuge 2008: Craig Girard
posted Mar 12th, 2023 - The six AAA Class teams completed their ten rounds on Saturday, and the scores after ten slow sequences speak for themselves. Arizona Airspeed's Mikhail Markine explained as briefly as possible the details of the assessment of a competition draw during NSL Live Talk with the winner after the completion of the event.

One team member was still busy when the conversation for the NSL News took place. Chris Kuhlmann was helping out for Pour Decisions when Eliana Rodriguez had to step back. She is still recovering from a back injury and could complete only six rounds. Airspeed's inside center completed the remaining four rounds for Pour Decisions after his own team was done with the ten rounds.

Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard trained and competed together in the front piece for Airspeed Odyssey and won 4-way gold medals in Maubeuge 2008, by one single point over France with current national coach Mathieu Bernier in the French point slot

Eliana Rodriguez has switched to inside center for the year with Pour Decisions. Chris Kuhlmann worked the center with Craig Girard when Eliana Rodriguez stepped back on Saturday. This brought a 4-way world champion of 2008 together in the Poor Decisions center with the reigning 4-way world champion of 2022.

NSL Live Talk with Arizona Airspeed at the end of the Shamrock Showdown
Inside center world champion in Eloy 2022: Chris Kuhlmann (right)
The NSL Live Talk with Arizona Airspeed took place while Chris Kuhlmann was still jumping with Pour Decisions. Niklas Hemlin, Mikhail Markine, Joey Marshall and team videographer Brendan Haddon had a lot of credit to give for the French national 4-way team, and there was a good reason for that.

France took the 2nd place on the leaderboard away from NMP PCH HayaBusa and finished ahead of Qatar Tigers, as well. The same lineup had ended up in 4th place at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, and national coach Mathieu Bernier has been eager to change the outcome of outdoor competition in Eloy.

Less than five months after the 4th place in Eloy, France has moved up to the 2nd place in the world and reduced the distance to Arizona Airspeed from 47 points to 20 points in DeLand. Mikhail Markine explained how it made it easier for France to close the gap. However, NMP PCH HayaBusa in 2nd place at the world championship last year had finished 33 points behind Airspeed, and the young French team left Belgium and Qatar both behind at the Shamrock Showdown. Mathieu Bernier seems to be on the right track, and Airspeed appreciate the coming pressure.
