posted Mar 17th, 2023 - It was in February 2022 when Dallas Dynasty competed last time at an indoor or outdoor competition. It was the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022 where Michael Erickson, Caden Maydew, Aaron Perkins and Kyle Hermberg won the Advanced Class competition.

The Texas team still continued to post scores for the Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas, four times between February and December 2022, sometimes with Lucas King and the outdoor lineup, sometimes with Kyle Hermberg and the indoor lineup.

The individual team members have been participating at Indoor Cloud League events for several years and now support other participants at iFLY Dallas as player-coaches. In fact, Dallas Dynasty as a team grew out of the Indoor Cloud League team that Kyle Hermberg has been managing in the past years.

Another team that came out of his Indoor Cloud League activities in Texas is Dallas Valkyrie, who won the AA/Intermediate Class competition this year, once again under the guidance of Kyle Hermberg.

Dallas Valkyrie at Paraclete XP in AA/Intermediate Class 2023 and A/Beginner Class 2022

Dallas Valkyrie had won the A/Beginner Class competition in February 2022, the same event where Dallas Dynasty won the AAA/Advanced Class. Valkyrie came back with the same lineup and increased their meet average from 14.8 in the A Class of 2022 to 17.2 in the AA Class in February this year.

Valkyrie will have the opportunity next year to become the first team winning three different categories consecutively. It is a big step from the AA to the AAA dive pool, with the addition of slot-switching blocks and longer sequences. However, at least the opportunity is there.

Kyle Hermberg himself competed with a pickup team (Off Constantly: Matt Alarif, JP Brown, Samuel LeCrone) this year when Dallas Valkyrie battled for the top spot with CSC Constellation and won by two points.

As the Dallas Dynasty members, Valkyrie is also consistently involved in Kyle Hermberg's Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Dallas. A closer look at the February lineups is showing three team members (Alexa Boushey, Christina Edwards, Sydney Ward) in three different lineups. Alexa Boushey performed one of the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA), while Dallas Dynasty took care of the slot-switching 6-point sequence.
