posted Apr 5th, 2023 - The Indoor Cloud League team of the Czech Republic at the Hurricane Factory opened the leaderboard for the month of March with their total of 102 points for the six sequences.

Once again, the majority of the Czech teams on the internal leaderboard were 4-way juniors, from the youngest lineups (Smart Fish, Unicorns) up to the national team in 4-way Junior, HF Flying Rebels. Organizer Jan Klapka needed only two senior teams (HF Cubs, M Team) for two of the six sequences, while the five junior teams took care of the scores for the other four categories.

It included the 20-pointer for the AAA sequence that the Czech national team in 4-way Junior, HF Flying Rebels, posted and that tied the score of the HF Cubs in the same category. The reigning FAI 4-way Junior world champions of 2019 and 4-way Women world cup champions of 2022 outscored HF Flying Rebels by five points for the second 4-way Open Class sequence (AA) on the Czech ICL leaderboard.

The AA and A Class sequences both could be drawn for the 4-way Junior competition at the upcoming FAI Indoor World Championship in Slovakia, where HF Flying Rebels will move down to the AA/4-way Junior dive pool and shorter sequences and try to defend the Czech 4-way Junior title successfully.

HF Flying Rebels will try to defend the Czech 4-way title that the HF Cubs won at Weembi Lille 2019, and they will also try to defend their own 4-way Junior title that they won a year ago at Airspace Charleroi 2019.

The HF Cubs will be facing much tougher opposition in Slovakia when they will try to defend their own indoor world cup title in 4-way Women that they won at the same event last year. The NSL News provided a preview with NSL Power Rankings of the 4-way Women competition with the update on March 26th.

The Czech national team in 4-way Junior, HF Flying Rebels, have much better chances to win their next set of FAI gold medals. The list of registered teams was showing only four teams, and two of them were not confirmed at that time. There has not been much progression in this event since 2019, when at least HF Cubs and the French Aerokart Akdemie team had an exciting 8-round battle.

Formation Skydiving powerhouse Russia has competitive 4-way junior teams, as well, who are not invited to participate by FAI/ISC. The Russian juniors won bronze medals in 2019 and were already banned from the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022. The Czech Republic alone has more 4-way junior teams on the March leaderboard than the total number of teams at the upcoming indoor world championship...
