posted Apr 10th, 2023 - The upcoming FAI Indoor World Championship slowly begins to dominate the NSL News updates. It happens naturally, of course, as it is the most relevant indoor competition in the world. The U.S. delegation includes the national teams in 4-way Open, Arizona Airspeed, and in 4-way Women, XPG4, who both competed not too long ago at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2023. The U.S. delegation also fields a team in 4-way VFS, and all three teams will be competing for FAI indoor medals.

Before the next NSL News update of the situation before the indoor competition in Slovakia, the NSL News goes back to the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2023 where Arizona Airspeed and XPG4 posted their most recent indoor scores. It is the 4-way entry level to the U.S. indoor championship, the 4-way Beginner Class, that deserves the attention. The 4-way Beginner Class is identical with the A Class of the NSL Network.

The relatively new category at the national indoor and outdoor championships of the United States provided once again solid evidence at Paraclete XP how well trained and competitive the A Class teams have been. Their leaderboard featured the most exciting and closest races for medals and positions of the whole event. There was close competition in all four categories (AAA/Open, AAA/Advanced, AA/Intermediate, A/Beginner), however, the six teams on the A Class leaderboard won the credit for the closest races.

There were only two teams on all four leaderboards who ended up tied after the ten indoor rounds, and it happened in the AAA/Open Class competition between Skydive Midwest NEXT and Lightspeed XP for the 7th place. Other than that, the A Class leaderboard featured five of the six teams in 1-point battles.

Going Low, Spice Girls and The Slayin' Luv Kicks exchanged highscores round by round, until they finally settled in their respective medal positions. CSC Renegades and Random Rhesilience did the same behind the medal positions and finished with a 1-point difference.

The AAA/Advanced Class competition featured another 3-team battle with 1-point differences, as the NSL News had reported on March 6th. It was the battle for bronze medals in this category that Last Minuet won in the very last round.

As in the A/Beginner Class, two other Advanced Class teams (Abandoned CART - Off Constantly) also ended up with a 1-point difference in the lower area of the leaderboard. All A/Beginner Class teams posted their first set of 4-way indoor scores, and they will hopefully follow up soon at the upcoming meets of the regional leagues and then at the USPA Nationals 2023.
