Did You Know...

... that Guatemala's La Playa team scored for iFLY Colorado in April?

iFLY Colorado Springs team in April
posted Apr 16th, 2023 - The monthly internal Indoor Cloud League 4-way showdown between the teams of the Air Force Academy took place again in March and April. The 4-way seniors of the 9-Ball team were challenged by the Tall Boys and Artemis cadets this time.

All three teams performed the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA), and 9-Ball ended up in 3rd place with the total for March and April (73). Artemis won by one point over Tall Boys (80 - 79) and contributed a total of 65 ICL points to the iFLY Colorado Springs account for both months, including the 22-pointer for the A Class sequence in March. 9-Ball claimed the AAA Class highscore in March, Tall Boys in April.

Artemis and Tall Boys both also added the A Class sequence to their internal March competition that Artemis won by two points (22 - 20).

None of the Air Force teams posted scores for the A Class sequence in April. La Playa, Guatemala's national 4-way team, visited iFLY Colorado Springs in April to continue their 4-way work with Eric Daniel and Emily Bombardi. They posted a score on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard for the first time.

La Playa and Colorado team Schmohawks both had joined the three Air Force teams on the March leaderboard and were back for the April event, where La Playa posted the winning 14-pointer for the A Class sequence.

Player-coach Amanda Lampton with her lineup (Kris Fisher, Mark Bean, Jesse Ubele) took care of the two Rookie Class sequences (RR - R), and the RRR Class scores and videos will probably be added to the leaderboard later this month.

La Playa had finished on the very bottom of the leaderboard in 4-way Open at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, after performing the AAA Class dive pool for the first time a month earlier at the USPA Nationals 2022, where they outscored one U.S. team in the 4-way Advanced Class competition.

They moved back to the more adequate AA/Intermediate Class dive pool and performed the two according sequences (AA/A) for the Indoor Cloud League leaderboards. La Playa and Schmohawks first tied their scores in March, and Guatemala's national 4-way team won the same duel in April by three points (26 - 23).
