posted Apr 17th, 2023 - The NSL News now continues the preview of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 with updates from locations that are closer to the host in Slovakia. The flying chamber of the Hurricane Factory Tatralandia is almost exactly the same as in other windtunnels in the eastern and central parts of Europe, and teams can train at alternate locations closer to home or for any reasons.

The Flyspot facilities in Wraclov, Poland, is one of the alternate options, as well as the Hurricane Factory in Prague. The NSL News traveled to Poland first to begin with the previews during the countdown to the indoor world championship.

The Czech national team in 4-way Open, HF Flying Circus, usually train and compete regularly at the Hurricane Factory in Prage, which is almost identical with the one in Slovakia. However, they used the more affordable flying rates in Poland for their last indoor training camp, after a few previous ones at the same location.

The NSL News witnessed the last part of a weekend with 2.5 hours of indoor training for the Czech team in Poland. Former Bad Boys member Vaclav Prokes has been working with HF Flying Circus and traveled to Wraclov with the team for their final preparations.

HF Flying Circus indoor training at Flyspot Wroclav in Poland

The current lineup of HF Flying Circus is one of the longest-standing national teams in the world, and this consistency of the amateur team paid back heavily last year the FAI Indoor World Cup, where they placed 6th on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard and won European bronze medals behind NMP PCH HayaBusa and France.

Martina Vavackova, Dagmar Bezdzkova and Lukas Kaderabek started together in 2014, and Jakub Klapka joined the team for the current lineup at the end of 2015. Only the Qatar Tigers have been together for an even longer time period.

The NSL Power Rankings are showing HF Flying Circus in contention for the 5th place, due to the 6th place at last year's indoor world cup. It's a very strong field behind the medal contenders though, and just a Top 10 finish would be a success for any team.

Arizona Airspeed and XPG4 have arrived in Prague, where they are in their final preparations for the indoor world championship. They had indoor training training scheduled for Monday, and the NSL News changed location again on the way to Slovakia.
