posted Apr 25th, 2023 - The aftermath of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 will still continue for a while. FAI/ISC's world championships and world cups are naturally the most relevant events in Formation Skydiving competition and deserve all possible attention. However, other events continue at the same time and need to be covered, as well.

The Indoor Cloud League of the NSL Network includes activities and events on the other end of the 4-way spectrum, where the beginners in the sport can make their first steps in 4-way competition. The format includes sequences for the experienced 4-way fans that could be drawn at world championships, while it offers Rookie Class teams and competitors an easy entry level at the same time and at the same event.

FAI/ISC have included the 4-way Junior category at their events, which mirrors the AA Class of the National Skydiving League, and USPA have introduced the next entry level with the Beginner Class, which is identical with the NSL A Class.

The Rookie Class (RRR) has been used for a while at several national championships and other major events (World Challenge, ISR Grand Prix, and more). The Indoor Cloud League has been offering two more Rookie Class categories (RR/R) for many years, where brand-new 4-way competitors can have their starting point and watch the experienced teams perform the complete dive pool at the same event.

The NSL News is making the transition from indoor world championships or world cups to the Indoor Cloud League level only once every year. The Indoor Cloud League competition is a monthly event all year long, while indoor world championships and world cups are taking place once, most of the time in the spring and before the outdoor season begins for the 4-way seniors.

The NSL News update on April 23rd covered the transition of the Czech 4-way teams from Indoor Cloud League competition to the indoor world championship, and the reverse transition now catches up with ICL events in March.

Kyle Hermberg submitted the scores and videos for the ICL team of the Texas Skydiving League at iFLY Dallas, while Anion Flux XP member Felipe Giustina organized the third month of Indoor Cloud League competition at iFLY St. Lauderdale since posting the first scores and videos in January. His Anion Flux team mate Katie Lazarus joined him in March, and four different lineups participated in his event.

Participants of Kyle Hermberg's Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Dallas have their own transition from indoor to outdoor competition coming up this weekend, when the Texas Skydiving League launches the 2023 season with the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown.
