Did You Know...

... that Sky4Four's Arkadiusz Wlodarczyk had two 1-point battles within a month?

Flyspot Sky4Four at the Hurricane Factory Tatralandia
posted May 14th, 2023 - Some of the teams who represented their countries at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 did not have much time until they performed the next Round 1 at an indoor event, after the previous ten rounds at the Flyspot Liga. They seem to enjoy 4-way competition and cannot get enough of it.

Two of the teams in Slovakia had a preview shortly before Round 1 at the Hurricane Factory Tatralandia. Magic 4 from Lithuania and Poland's national team Flyspot Sky4Four both performed their previous ten rounds at the Flyspot Liga's April meet.

Lithuania's national team was back in action with the same lineup that competed at the indoor world championship, and they were facing once again tough competition. Flyspot Sky4Four were back with their complete lineup, and two other Polish AAA Class teams (MAD Team, Flyspot Omega) joined the April competition on the AAA Class leaderboard.

The guests from Lithuania won two rounds and tied another highscore in 4th place, which was still not enough to outscore the three Polish teams, even though Flyspot Omega took the 3rd place without winning or tying a single round.

Sky4Four indoor training with Arkadiusz Wlodarczyk and David Grauwels
MAD Team completed the ten April rounds with their next team record average. which has brought them again very close to the 20+ average threshold. Flyspot Omega was one of the teams in Poland who might have stepped in for their country if the national team, Flyspot Sky4Four, had not been able to travel to Slovakia.

Team member Zbigniew Kordzikowski explained that his team was dealing with injuries, and the complete lineup could not compete in Slovakia, as Joanna Hulboj in the tail slot had to undergo knee surgery shortly before the indoor world championship.

Eventually, Flyspot Omega's inside center, Arkadiusz Wlodarczyk, substituted for Joanna Hulboj, and Zbigniew Kordzikowski moved to tail for the ten rounds in Slovakia. Sky4Four could even arrange some earlier indoor training with their new alternate Arkadiusz Wlodarczyk when David Grauwels visited for coaching at an earlier training camp.

The alternate lineup finished almost at the team's highest scoring level in Slovakia and ahead of Magic 4 in their first internal duel.

Lithuania's Magic 4 at the Flyspot Liga competition
Joanna Hulboj was still in her slot before Flyspot Sky4Four and Magic 4 would meet a few weeks later in Slovakia. Zbigniew Kordzikowski was in his inside center position when alternate Arkadiusz Wlodarczyk competed with his own team.

He outscored Magic 4 with Sky4Four by eleven points in Slovakia, after the 1-point battle with Flyspot Omega. Sky4Four lineup was once again out of reach for all other teams on the AAA Class leaderboard at the Flyspot Liga April meet.

Arkadiusz Wlodarczyk completed two 1-point battles with the same team within a month of 4-way competition. He had his second 1-point finish when Sky4Four ended up behind Bronteroc at the indoor world championship.

He was facing Magic 4 at the Flyspot Liga competition in April, where Omega had a 1-point advantage. The 20+ average of the Lithuanian national team was not enough to stay away from the bottom of the 4-way Open Class leaderboard in Slovakia, even though it was two average points higher than at the previous indoor world championship in 2019.
