posted May 30th, 2023 - 4-way teams in Poland completed the next ten competition rounds of their Flyspot Liga, this time without the national team in 4-way Open, Flyspot Sky4Four. The unusual absence of the strongest Polish 4-way team in the past years allowed the other AAA Class teams to compete for the top spot at the May meet.

MAD Team and Flyspot Omega have been going through the four NSL categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR) together since 2017 until they both began posting scores on the AAA Class leaderboards in 2021. MAD Team had the upper hand at the Flyspot Open 2021 (194 - 184), Flyspot Omega at the Flyspot Open 2022 (197 - 185).

MAD Team took back the lead in this ongoing duel at the first Flyspot Liga competition this year (195 - 185), and both teams were back for the next ten AAA Class rounds in May.

Despite the absence of the Polish national team in 4-way Open, Flyspot Sky4Four, neither MAD Team nor Flyspot Omega could finish in the top spot, as the regular visitor from Lithuania, Magic 4, were back on the Polish leaderboard.

Magic 4 - MAD Team - Flyspot Omega at the Flyspot Liga May meet

Magic 4 had outscored MAD Team and Flyspot Omega both at the Flyspot Open 2022 and then finished behind them before their trip to Slovakia and represent Lithuania at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023.

Lithuania's national team in 4-way Open ended up on the bottom of the leaderboard in Slovakia after an exciting battle with Bronteroc (Hungary), Flyspot Sky4Four (Poland) and Red Bull Aerodynamix (Austria). Their Polish opponent in Slovakia skipped the next meet of the Flyspot Liga that Magic 4 attended once again.

MAD Team and Flyspot Omega had their usual 10-round duel, and MAD Team won by seven points this time. They still did not finish on the top of the leaderboard, even though Flyspot Sky4Four were not present to defend their top position in Poland.

Magic 4 had finished in 3rd place and ahead of MAD Team and Flyspot Omega at the Flyspot Open 2022. However, both Polish teams had outscored Magic 4 before the trip of the Lithuanian team to Slovakia, and they were probably hoping to copy the April results.

It did not happen, even though Magic 4 did not get to the 20+ level that they finished on at the indoor world championship. The 18.2 at the Flyspot windtunnel was enough to take back the top position in this competition with the same two Polish teams.

MAD Team and Flyspot Omega had once again new Polish company on the AAA Class leaderboard. Crazy Donut started in the Rookie Class competition of 2019 and moved up to the A Class in 2020. The 2021 season was dedicated to AA Class competition, and Crazy Donut completed the progression with the AAA Class dive pool in 2022.

The May meet of the Flyspot Liga was the first AAA Class competition for Crazy Donut this year, and the NSL News met the team in Poland while and after the Czech national team HF Flying Circus had their last training camp before the indoor world championship.

Martina Vavackova, original outside center of HF Flying Circus, has been coaching Crazy Donut, and the NSL-TV camera captured some of the team training at Flyspot Wroclaw. The newest Polish AAA Class team will surely try to close the distance to MAD Team and Flyspot Omega as soon as possible.
