posted Jun 13th, 2023 - The upcoming meet weekend will be bringing together teams from three different countries on the same leaderboards, if the weather cooperates everywhere. The annual Paranodon Cup in Illertissen, Germany, takes place at the same time when Jan Klapka has scheduled the first outdoor meet for the Czech teams.

Lori Connor offers the teams in Northern California the comeback event for 4-way teams in her region at the same time, as well. Her indoor events as preparations for the outdoor season were well attended, as the NSL News reported on May 5th.

The preliminary leaderboard from Germany is showing the currently registered teams, even though the list can still grow this week. The Swiss team Air-W could choose between traveling to the Czech Republic or to Germany, and it was an easy choice. Air-W have been attending the Paranodon Cup events since 2015, and the upcoming meet will be the 8th visit in Illertissen.

The other two registered AAA Class teams at the Paranodon Cup are well know, as well, and both competed a year ago at the same event. Several teams then followed up at the German outdoor championships, which are scheduled for the end of August this year.

The NSL News also reported on May 26th that two members of the German national indoor team in 4-way Women, Piteraq, switched to outdoor training and competition with Meltemi Oceanside Illertissen after the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023.

Linda Köb and Petra Jastram now continue with former German 4-way Open Class AtomiX champion Andrea Kleinschmidt and new member Franziska Wiesler, and still with Pablo Fahrenschon on camera. The Paranodon Cup is a good meet opportunity for Franziska Wiesler and her new AAA Class assignment with the German national team in 4-way Women, as she grew up as a skydiver in Illertissen.

Meltemi will follow up for Germany at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023 before the next qualification event will be the German outdoor championship, shortly after the trip to Norway. This time, the best German team in 4-way Women at the national championship will compete for Germany at the outdoor world championship in Israel 2024.

Linda Köb's former Airbus 8-way team mate Uli Sehrbrock will also be back with a Paranodon senior team. Last year he had Jan Rojek and Robert Trögele in his lineup. Jan Rojek is a German 4-way and 8-way champion of 1988, and Robert Trögele is currently the German national coach.
