posted Jun 29th, 2023 - The NSL News has followed the team Sequenz from Denmark since it was founded in 2007. Vibeke Birk Tideman was an original member, and the story of her comeback to 4-way training and competition with a new lineup was documented in the middle of Denmarks' Outdoor Nationals 2021. Sequenz won the qualification for the next outdoor world championship, and the NSL News followed up on 16 July 2021.

Flemming Borup Andersen had become Vibeke Birk Tideman's first new Sequenz team mate in 2019, Hans Oksen and Kjetil Nordin followed in 2021. The final lineup was complete when Ulrik Hogsberg joined Sequenz at the end of the 2021 season, while Anders Krabbenhøft continued in the Sequenz camera slot.

Sequenz of 2022 had a year of training for the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, and Vibeke Birk Tideman accomplished her goal of competing once in her lifetime at a world championship. She did not come back with her original team for the next cycle of two years until Israel 2024.

Her four team mates of 2022 have still carried on the team name, and they invited Peter Stræde to take the point slot for Sequenz. The new lineup has registered for the FAI Outdoor World Cup in Voss, Norway, which takes place after Denmark's national outdoor championship.

Sequenz represent Denmark in Norway, even though they are currently not the national 4-way champions. The long-time opponents of CISM Denmark/VAF Warriors upset Sequenz last year little over two months before the outdoor world championship in Eloy. However, up to four teams per nation can register for a world cup, and Sequenz is well qualified to compete in Norway.

Peter Stræde, who replaces Vibeke Birk Tideman, is also one of the highly experienced Danish 4-way competitors. He and his Sequenz team mate Hans Oksen trained and competed together for the Danish team Contrails from 2010 to 2012.

Hans Oksen and Peter Stræde together then joined Pangaea in 2015, where they met their Sequenz team mate Flemming Borup Andersen and Kjetil Nordin, who transitioned back and forth between Norway and Denmark. This new Sequenz 3-way and Kjetil Nordin competed for Denmark at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2016.

Pangaea, still with Hans Oksen and Peter Stræde both, won their next national 4-way titles in 2017 and 2018 and did not compete in Australia 2018, where Denmark was not represented on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard.

Hans Oksen was back first when Vibeke Birk Tideman and Flemming Borup Andersen launched the Sequenz comeback in 2019. Peter Stræde has now re-connected with his former Pangaea team mates to take the point slot that Vibeke Birk Tideman left open. He will also be filmed again by his Contrails videographer Anders Krabbenhøft.

The new lineup does not have any scores in the team records yet, and the position on the NSL Power Rankings leaderboard is set according to the outcome of the last outdoor world championship in Eloy.

There is no guarantee yet that Flemming Borup Andersen, Ulrik Høgsberg, Hans Oksen and Anders Krabbenhøft will qualify for the next world championship in Israel, together with new team member Peter Stræde.

First, Sequenz have to win the national championship in August this year. CISM Denmark will be back and make it as difficult as possible for the new Sequenz lineup, who will be in good shape at the outdoor world cup. Their main target of training and preparations is probably the qualification event in Denmark.

There are two weeks between the two events, and two of the other Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden) will be represented in Voss, as well.
