Did You Know...

... that RhEvolution XP is back with a new 4-way Open Class lineup?

RhEvolution XP at Skydive Paraclete XP
posted Jul 23rd, 2023 - RhEvolution XP was another 4-way team that was in training the weekend after the Summer Classic at Skydive Paraclete XP. They are not registered for the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023, where Arizona Airspeed, SDC Rhythm XP, Skydive Midwest NEXT and Lightspeed XP compete for the U.S. delegation in 4-way Open.

RhEvolution XP still could not compete at the Summer Classic. The NSL News reported on July 19th that Bra Nok is one of the three U.S. 8-way teams in Voss, Norway (GKXP8, Prison 9, Bra Nok). Two members of this year's RhEvolution XP lineup (Kim Hollander, Chris Normandeau) are travelling to Norway soon to compete with Bra Nok in 80way Open. RhEvolution XP had to schedule their team training for the next weekend.

Player-coach Andrew Happick will be in Voss, too, as he continues training and competing with the new lineup of the U.S. national 8-way team and reigning world champions of GKXP8. Only Christine Bruchac and team videographer Radim Studeny will stay at home and follow the competition action at the outdoor world cup remotely.

Kim Hollander, Chris Normandeau and Andrew Happick will separate in Norway and post their scores on the 8-way leaderboard, where GKXP8 will probably not have any serious opposition.

Team founder Chris Normandeau and Andrew Happick have worked together since the original RhEvolution XP lineup (Chris Normandeau, Gorka Amian, Josh Reinert, Brad Wallace) attended their first 4-way competition at the May weet of the Midwest Skydiving League in 2018.

SDC Rhythm XP members Doug Barron and Andrew Happick were coaching the first RhEvolution XP lineup, and Andrew Happick was on camera for the team at the very first competition. Current Skydive Midwest NEXT member Gorka Amian was in the original RhEvolution XP lineup, as well, and he will meet his team mate of 2018 in Voss, Norway, where he competes with his new 4-way team, and in 8-way with Prison 9 and Doug Barron.

Chris Normandeau and Gorka Amian spent two years together with RhEvolution XP. Gorka Amian's current NEXT team mate Greg Oldendick joined them for a year in 2019, before he moved on with the NEXT lineup of 2020. Gorka Amian followed him a year later, and they currently train and compete with Katie Healy and Brian Nasset in their new NEXT lineup.

Current SDC Rhythm XP member Chris Webb has a history with RhEvolution XP, as well, and he will meet his former team mate Chris Normandeau in Norway. He joined the team when Gorka Amian left and staid for two years until he was recruited by Doug Barron for the new SDC Rhythm XP lineup.

RhEvolution XP at the Midwest Skydiving League in May 2018
Chris Normandeau re-built RhEvolution XP for the 2022 season, which was the first year for current member Christine Bruchac in the tail slot. Together they won the 4-way Advanced Class competition of the USPA Nationals 2022, with Alex Bucevicius and Zachary Winoker in the lineup, Radim Studeny on camera.

It became the most successful year for RhEvolution XP founder Chris Normandeau with the USPA gold medals, after outscoring the player-coached lineups of AZ Alpha (Mark Kirkby) and SDC Rhuthess (Steve Lefkowitz).

Christine Bruchac, Chris Normandeau and videographer Radim Studeny have to move up into 4-way Open at the USPA Nationals, and they decided to hire their own player-coach for the new lineup, Andrew Happick. Kim Hollander was ready for a new team commitment, as well, after her last engagement with Lite XP in 2019, and she was glad to complete the new RhEvolution XP lineup.

The new lineup trained next to Lightspeed XP at Skydive Paraclete, who will probably be one of their main opponents at the USPA Nationals in September. All team members took the time for NSL Live Talk at the end of the training on Saturday.
