The two Norwegian national teams in horizontal 4-way Formation Skydiving, Agera in 4-way Open and Thyra in 4-way Women, confirmed their Norwegian top positions in the respective categories. Thyra did not have opposition in 4-way Women, while the situation for Agera was once again completely different.
Agera had to deal with the ongoing presence of the Norgies in 4-way competition since they won three sets of bronze medals at FAI World Championships in 1999, 2001 and 2003. The original members of the Norgies (Outside Center Lise Aune, Point Pal Kolbenstvedt, Tail Carl-Erik Tuv, Inside Center Torstein Valen) still enjoy 4-way competition enough to return year by year for the national championships.
The Norgies had their comeback after the corona virus crisis at the national championships of 2022 and won their next 4-way title with former Arctery member Ole Petter Hjelle in the lineup. The team name of the original DeLand Norgies changed to Norgyx with the slightly different lineup.

It was coincidence that the 10-round competition concluded with a manually drawn Super Sequence of the 2nd Grade (E,H,F,9) for the unofficial jump-off. It became the ultimate test for Agera's new team member in the tail slot, Amund Meyer, who attended his first outdoor competition with Agera last week.
The NSL News had introduced Amund Meyer after the completion of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023, where he explained his competitive history in sports and demonstrated it live on NSL-TV with a backflip. The Agera lineup with the new tail was obviously ready for the challenge, as the official Norwegian national team in 4-way Open won Round 10 by two points.
Agera was fortunate to have their well trained team videographer available throughout the ten rounds. Kristoffer Overli Andersen gave away only two points in the ten rounds due to camera angles, while his visiting colleague on camera for Norgyx, Anders Krabbenhoft from Denmark, lost three points. The Norgyx players themselves added eight points to the damage, and the total of eleven point deductions allowed Agera to win their second national 4-way title.
Norgyx was one point behind Agera after Round 5 (84 - 85) and DeLand Norgies won the total for the next four rounds (67 - 66) to tie the game after Round 9. Both teams then completed the same number of points withing working time in the unofficial jump-off Round 10, and a real extra round was only avoided by two point deductions for the DeLand Norgies.
Original DeLand Norgies member Carl-Erik Tuv was once again in a very special situation at the national championship. He is the Meet Director of the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023 and has his hands full with getting the event site ready for the most relevant competition of the year. However, he could not resist joining the original DeLand Norgies lineup and challenge the national team that he was competing with at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023.
The NSL News had reported the Carl-Erik Tuv's Agera situation on 21 November 2022, including NSL Live Talk with himself and his Chairman of the World Cup Organising Committee, Victor Engholmen. Agera made the Top 10 in Eloy last year with Carl-Erik Tuv in the tail slot. Now he challenged his national 4-way Open Class team to the extreme with Norgyx/DeLand Norgies, while his daughter's team in 4-way Women, Thyra, competes for Norway in 4-way Women.
