There are a few other events that may attract them to travel there, as well, while that is mostly coincidental, even though the top teams are looking for challenging meet opportunities for themselves and sometimes even coordinate their competition schedules with other top teams accordingly.
Florida is an outdoor training site in the winter time, and NMP PCH HayaBusa have chosen Skydive City for their winter camps. The NSL News headquarters is located in Florida, as well, and it takes only a 2-hour trip to use the opportunity and spend as much time as possible with the Belgians or any team. The recent HayaBusa visit at Skydive City was covered with the update on October 27th.
The time for team updates from events and training is always limited, as the main purpose for the teams is either the ongoing competition or the training agenda. Most other sports and athletes don't require the same amount of daily time for training and competition, and there is more free time for other purposes, such as NSL Live Talk.
The previous NSL News visit at Skydive City was mainly dedicated to the introduction of the new lineup, with new team member Ray Lodens in the point slot. The update included an overview of all the lineups since the HayaBusa 4-team project was launched in 2002.
The second conversation on Wednesday this week was based on the same chart, even though the purpose was a different one. This time, it was supposed to provide the foundation for HayaBusa Storytelling. There is one current team member, David Grauwels, who witnessed the complete long history of 21 HayaBusa years, and the lineup-chart is showing how his current team mates are related to his positions in the changing lineups.
David Grauwels was mostly covering the early HayaBusa years alone. He remembered how the original lineup began to feel already in 2005 that they seemed to have the talent, motivation and potential to become world champions some day. It would still take almost another decade before it finally happened.

NMP PCH HayaBusa with new point Dennis Praet, now a military team since 2007, finally had the lineup that would win the first 4-way gold medals, even though it would still take another four years to get there. David Grauwels and Dennis Praet agreed that they felt after the 3rd Dubai Championship in 2011 that they were ready to go to the very top of any 4-way leaderboards.
They were right, as they were exactly in this position a year later at the FAI Dubai Mondial 2012 - until Round 9, and together with Arizona Airspeed. Both teams had fought one of the most exciting 4-way battles in the history of the sport through the first nine rounds, and the best was still to come.
Round 10 brought the ultimate showdown that ended with a most dramatic finish, with emotions flying very high too. Dennis Praet recalled the drama of Round 10 during the NSL Live Talk and said that this one round was probably the reason that sparked the next decade of HayaBusa 4-way dominance in the competition world.
