posted Jan 9th, 2024 - The first NSL News preview of the SkyVenture New Hampshire Tunnel Fest 2024 on January 6th was connected to the 20-year anniversary of Mass Defiance, 4-way Advanced Class champion of the USPA Nationals 2005. The story pointed out that the members of the championship lineup of 2005 (Ben Liston, Jim Rees, John Silva, Brian Stephens, Steve Feldman on camera) have returned regularly to the annual indoor event since it was created.

The first list of registered teams for this year's indoor competition on January 20th allows a closer look at the teams and their lineups. Four of the Mass Defiance 2005 members have already made their plans for the 10-round indoor meet on Saturday, January 20th. Ben Liston is once again in charge of directing the meet, and Jim Rees is introducing new judges to 4-way competition. He will work together with chief judge Audre Dube and Hao Ni and oversee the judging technology and procedures.

Original Mass Defiance member John Silva will be competing with his wife Belinda for AAA/Open Class team 4-Titude, and he will be Ben Liston's opponent. The meet director is bringing two members of his CPI Chicken Bolts lineup (Doug Hendrix, Monique Lai) into the competition, who won AAA/Advanced Class bronze medals together at the USPA Nationals 2023. Snatch Force member Jennifer Cook completes the Chicken Bolts lineup at SkyVenture New Hampshire, where she will join forces with her SNE Fly Girls team mate Monique Lai. SNE Fly Girls had competed for the U.S. delegation in 4-way Women at the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving in Norway. Snatch Force brings Fly Girls Nicole Bedard and Jennifer Cook together, with Beth York and Belinda Silva in the lineup.

Ben Liston also announced that even Mass Defiance videographer Steve "Scuba" Feldman will support this year's indoor competition with his commentary and interviews: "Gurt Kabel will also be on site all day interviewing people. He plans on bringing substantial 'Gurt Hurt' to all former nationals competitors." Ben Liston relates to the video of an interview with him that Steve Feldman recorded and that the NSL News featured on 8 November 2023. Only original Mass Defiance member Brian Brian Stephens cannot be found yet in any of the registered lineups.

Ben Liston's USPA bronze medalists of Chicken Bolts will have tough opposition at SkyVenture New Hampshire. A strong AAA lineup is behind the Reunion, with three members of the Lite XP lineup of 2019: Kim Hollander, Dave Grabowski and Andre Van Heerden. Louis French, Advanced Class gold medalist with Redline XP at the same national outdoor championship in 2019, completes the lineup of the Lite XP Reunion.

Two of the returning teams from the SkyVenture New Hampshire Indoor Fest 2023 will face each other for a rematch. Three Snatch Force members of 2023 (Belinda Silva, Nicole Bedard, Jennifer Cook) compete with Beth York for John Silva in the lineup this year, while Foxy & The Hounds will be back with the same lineup who finished five points behind Snatch Force (154 - 159) a year ago. Registration is still open for teams who have not signed up for the competition yet.
