posted Feb 12th, 2024 - The NSL News has given 4-way teams from Slovakia special attention since the Hurricane Factory Tatralandia hosted the 4th FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championship in April 2023. It was the 4-way Junior team SDU GenZ that initiated the more consistent attention, even though Slovakia's Skydive University 4-way team attended events of the Czech Tunnel League regularly between 2016 and 2019 and competed for their country at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2019.

4-way Women team Kiss My Grips was a part of the whole aftermath due to their participation at the 4th FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championship on home turf at the Hurricane Factory Tatralandia in Slovakia.

It was not only the attendance at the team's first international FAI competition that caught the attention of NSL News and audience. The story on January 28th had pointed out that teams and competitors from Slovakia are also regulars at Czech 4-way meets. Kiss My Grips have competed at six Czech indoor competitions since January 2023. The story-line continued with the update on February 5th, which introduced the next Slovakian 4-way team, Das Naechste Fenster. The AAA Class team started in November 2023 and has competed at every single Czech 10-round indoor competition ever since.

Ivica Just is a member of both teams, Kiss My Grips and Das Nächste Fenster, as the NSL News eventually discovered and pointed out in the same update from Slovakia. She completed 70 meet rounds with both teams since November last year, and she provided the NSL News with additional information.

In fact, Ivica Just mentioned that NMP PCH HayaBusa's team captain Dennis Praet has been coaching Kiss My Grips since the team was launched at the beginning of 2023. This gave the NSL News a good reason to contact Dennis Praet and ask for even more additional information.

NMP PCH HayaBusa's new outside center took the time for a new NSL Live Talk conversation, even though he is in the final preparations for his team's journey to New Zealand this week with the next outdoor training camp. Of course, he provided an update of the current HayaBusa situation before answering questions related to his coaching job with Kiss My Grips.

He said that new team member Ray Lodens, who has taken Dennis Praet's former point slot in the front piece, has completed his military boot camp and is now fully available for the team training. It will still take a while until the new lineup is ready to post their first scores. The new team member of 2021, Michele Silvi, was already a very experienced 4-way competitor when he joined the HayaBusa lineup, while Neal Willems was a Falco member, Ray Lodens on A/AA Class level, when they joined HayaBusa.

Dennis Praet has been working with Kiss My Grips mostly at the windtunnel in Vienna, Austria. He said that the team trained with the original lineup and slots under his guidance until he recommended a change after the indoor world championship in April 2023. It became a complete slot scramble between front and rear pieces.

Jana Faixova moved from outside center to tail, Michaela Galkova from tail to point, Veronika Kontarova from point to outside center. Only Ivica Just has continued in her inside center slot while she is the point for Das Nächste Fenster, her family team with husband Jozef Just and brothers Boris and Richard Kolozsi.

Kiss My Grips and Das Nächste Fenster opposed each other for the first time in a competition at the first meet of the family team in November 2023, and Das Nächste Fenster won by three points. It was the first meet for the 4-way Women team after the slot scramble.

They were facing each other again a month later, and the same lineup with new slots finished far ahead this time (134 - 111). Kiss My Grips confirmed the female power position in January, and only Das Nächste Fenster competed at the Czech Indoor Open 2024. The February meet of the Czech Tunnel League is coming up this week, and it may feature the next Slovakian duel.
