Did You Know...

... that NSL Live Talk features French 4-way Women team Nephtys?

Nephtys lineup since January 2023
posted Mar 14th, 2024 - Round 1 of the Shamrock Showdown 2024 is only one day away, and Thursday was a busy training and warm-up day at Skydive DeLand. The competition draw in the evening was the last step before the start of the competition on Friday morning.

Arizona Airspeed and France Aethers will be in the first load of the competition together, and a new colorful Teiwaz lineup joins the world's currently two best teams in the same Twin Otter. Most of the participating teams used the promising weather on Thursday for the last preparations, and the French national team in 4-way Women, Nephtys, were back in action after a day off on Wednesday.

The Nephtys had concluded their off-day with NSL Live Talk at the end of the vacation day on Wednesday, and they spent most of the time in the Florida springs. They had regenerated enough energy after their vacation to spend the extra time with the NSL News.

The current Nephtys lineup have trained and competed together since the beginning of 2023. Pamela Lissajoux and Elise Poindron came back from previous French national teams in 4-way Women. Alexandra Petitjean, Marie Pineau and team videographer Godeleine de Saint were selected by national coach Mathieu Bernier, after he was looking at the options together with the two returning team members.

Alexandra Petitjean and Marie Pineau both attended tryout events for the selection. Alexandra Petitjean had previously represented the French delegation at FAI/ISC events in Canopy Formation. She contacted national coach Mathieu Bernier and told him that she was interested in switching to horizontal Formation Skydiving training and competition. She joined the tryout events and was eventually selected for the new French lineup in 4-way Women.

Elise Poindron started with the French indoor lineup in 4-way Women. Mathieu Bernier had created two different lineups for indoor and outdoor competition in 2018. The indoor team, with Pamela Lissajoux and Elise Poindron both in the lineup, won the 4-way Women competition at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2019.

The French indoor and outdoor lineups were eventually merged again, and Pamela Lissajoux and Elise Poindron continued with the same team name, the Nephtys, when they were back together, this time with Alexandra Petitjean and Marie Pineau.

Pamela Lissajoux has been in the French national team and her outside center slot since 2015 and has attended several indoor and outdoor world championship and world cups ever since. She was in the lineup that lost to the Golden Knights 4-way Women team, with Jennifer Davidson in the lineup, in a dramatic 10-round battle in Ottawa 2016. She will meet the new XPG4 member again at this year's outdoor world championship. Her team mate Elise Poindron was engaged in a special and unique Fun Flag adventure at the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving.
